  2. Well at least you're seeing the scale go down on a weekly basis. I lose 4-6 pounds in a week then stall the remaining of the month, gaining a pound then losing it again until I drop the next significant 4-6 pounds again. It's very frustrating to be dieting and exercising and be stalled for 3-4 weeks!! Admittedly, I haven't been exercising as much as I should. I'm just sort of depressed and exercise is the farthest thing on my mind right now. Financial burdens are a bitch. Especially when my kids are on summer break and want to be on vacations and trips like their friends. And.... My daughter got her bicycle stolen and my sons chain popped right off the bike. That was our fun family activity. Not to mention my favorite exercise!!! I guess I just wish I could see some better results after struggling with everything I put in my mouth. Thanks for listening! 3. Good morning beautiful people!!! I have a question, do you guys think our weight loss is pretty much done? I hope not. I really want to lose more! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. So, I had blood work for the first time since surgery (10 months ago) and what do you know? Everything was on point. Thank God. Except, my progesterone...hmm...how did my progesterone become almost non existent? No wonder I had no libido. Started on oral progesterone and once my TOM shows up, I can start BC pills!! So, question is... Have any of you suffered from hormonal imbalance (other than moodiness) after surgery or is this just coincidence?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@OKCPirate thanks for the links. I, many years ago, was a pharmacy manager for a compound pharmacy here in Miami, we had a patient, who became addicted to her testosterone troche and said she just had never felt alive before her testosterone replacement therapy. I should've thought about that!! Thanks again for the great articles!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I also take Centrum but my PCP wants me to take chewables so long as I can tolerate them. She says they're just easier to digest so why not. ???? I guess... I mean they don't taste bad,& labs were good,so I'll keep buying them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    How is everyone? August 2015

So much harder now at 10 months post op. I was sleeved on August 27. Wanted to get below 200 for surgiversary. I was at 209, due to carbs this week that was supposed to help my constipation, I'm back up to 215???? Not happy about it, so I'm thinking I need a couple days of nothing but Water and my Protein. Ughh this journey has been rough Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. I'm where you began. How long and how many # to get where you are now? Just curious. Working beyond grief for a better life! I am almost 10 months out and have lost 138ish pounds. It goes up and down by a few pounds. I am now weighing 209lbs Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. My 1yr goal has changed from 180 to 170. I'd be happy at 180 though. I also feel like I need to be as far away from 200 as possible, and maybe a little wiggle room so that I can gain 5 pounds and not feel like I'm soo close to being at 200 again! This is definitely a mind over matter situation because at this point, weight loss is pure will power. At least for me. I know carbs and sweet stuff don't bother me, but I also know that carbs kill my weight loss. That being said, I feel like a "normal" woman. I can shop with my friends at the same stores, wear pretty clothes and feel beautiful for my husband. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. glad you guys are around. I was getting lonely. I've lost 138lbs and still want to lose another 30-40lbs. My weight loss is averaging about 5lbs a month. Please share your experiences. Ive been letting some carbs back in as of late, I can give you a thousand excuses, but I won't, not a lot, but I will have some crackers every couple of days or so. I had some Kellogs Breakfast Cereal just the other day... I've honestly been trying to lube up my insides, been kinda hard in that department for me (literally) please share.. 24. I agree with @@Daisee68 1000% , I could go right now and eat around my sleeve at only 9 months out. I have no foods that make me dump. And actually the carby foods are the easiest to overeat, they turn into nearly nothing in our tummies. What stops me though, is the fact that I fought so goddamn hard for this surgery to happen... that I'll be damned if I let a frickin potato chip make me miserable again. No matter how crunchy, salty and delicious I may remember it. I get cravings because I too have a hubby and kids that don't follow MY diet, but I take that new found will and have made some pretty ingenious alternatives to the good ole comfort foods. If you need ideas or recipes look it up or message me!!! Good luck mama, you got this!!! Here's to better knees!!!
