  1. I had my surgery on September 17th, down 27 lbs...had my 1st fill of 3ccs 3 weeks ago and I feel nausious and have lower intestinal pains like I have to go to the bathroom . Doesn't happen every day but this past week it has happened more frequently. Has anyone else experienced this?

  2. Ok, I'm in NY and I was nervous and excited right up to the day..then the day came and I was very emotional and scared which is natural..I knew I would be ok but going under anesthesia is scary, especially because I have never been under general. The doctors do this all the time and it's procedural at this point . Don't worry and good luck!

  3. Hi Heather,

I was just banded yesterday . Everything will be ok. As far as the foreign object in your body..I was nervous too but there are people who have metal plates, rods, pacemakers , etc..so compared to those devices, lapband is nothing! Good luck with the preop diet. It really prepares you for post op diet. Please keep in touch and you can email me directly at starosen@yahoo.com.

  4. HI everyone. My surgery is tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous but excited as well. I followed the 2 week Protein diet/drinks for the most part but did have some sashimi on one occasion (had to go to client lunch).

So would anyone like to give me some last minute advice, assurance, words of wisdom :-)?

What is the deal with the left shoulder pain that everyone speaks of? Thanks!

  5. Good luck!! You will do great! I am going in on the 17th but having a little problem as my pre test is Friday and nyu did not tell me I would also have to have another checkup with my primary so trying to schedule that befor Wednesday morning as that is the deadline for all paperwork. Ugh! I will have to reschedule if I don't get the appointment with the primary and they are closed on Mon and Tues. what's a girl to do!? Venting!
