  4. So I began my STRICT 3 week liquid diet Oct 7th today is Oct 24th and I'm down by 21 pounds... the headaches, head hunger and withdrawals are crazyyyyyyy to say the least. My surgery is in 4 days Oct 28th and my anxiety level is at 1000. My excitement is surreal but the journey of liquid diet has NOT been easy. 3x daily Protein shake 4x daily sf Jello or popcicles Water all day All day Sf decaf tea All day clear broth 3xs daily 1 cup vegetables As much as i want (yuk) Crystal light This has been my journey thus far... My nerves are on edge as my emotions run wild W my up coming surgery. Wish me luck and please feel FREE TO WRITE I can use the support of others sharing my same journey. Oh FYI my family has been amazing!
  5. Lmolina1987 wow good luck on your new journey! @@LMolina1987
  6. I don't blame you and it's definitely far from easy. But WE CAN DO THIS!!! @@cindyw41
  7. Congratulations! Keep us posted ????
  8. @@cindyw41 your lucky... mine has to be clear broth. Smh.... I literally drink it like a cup of tea!!!
  9. Hi you can Try ISO PURE PROTEIN WATERS 40 grams of protein in each bottle and the come in different flavors. Also try an unflavored iso protein powder you can add a scoop to broths, and any mushy foods to get in your extra protein and hopefully that will help. I've seen this in almost every video that I watch, it seems to be very very popular. I hope you feel better soon.
  10. Hey everyone I haven't been on in a lil while trying to find balance between work home the kids hubby & the dog!!! I started my 3 week liquid diet this past Wednesday and my HEAD HUNGER is getting the best of me... 3 lean protein boost shakes a day, so jello and popcicles, clear broth, fruit 2 o water, 1 cup vegetables 3x a day, vitamin zero water, crystal lite, decaf teas no sugar! My surgery date is 10/28/15 I'm definitely in nesting mode and getting anxious and nervous at the same time. I could use lots of support... I have my family they are super supportive but don't 100% understand this journey or what I'm feeling or what I'm going through physically. Well I know I made the right choice and im blessed truly blessed my emotions are all over the place and this lack of food do to the liquid diet is driving me crazy any suggestions anyone?

  13. My pre-op diet is also 3 protein shakes, clear broth, sugar free jello and 1 cup of veggies a day W plenty of water in between. It's very difficult but we can do this!!! The point of this liquid diet is to shrink the "fat" around the liver and the liver it self in order for the surgeons to do the surgery without Danger of puncturing the liver or any other vital organs. PLEASE hang in there it's for your own safety. You can do this just keep remembering why your doing this to begin with and how amazing your results will be. Keep us posted & good luck!
  14. Hello to you all I'm knew to all of this too its great to chat with people who I have something in common with ???? @@JennyC724 I would love to be a part of the secret fb club my email is luvableinbklyn@aol.com GOOD LUCK with all of your test I'm sure it will go well.

  16. I finally got my surgery date! it's such a bitter sweet time for me. I waited for so long for it and now it's on paper and very real. I'm very much so in nesting mode... shopping and prepping have become a huge deal to me and at the same time a bit overwhelming W so many choices to make (in reference to pre-op diet). I am very excited and I hope there will be others to share this journey with since my surgery is October 28th ???? I would luv a buddy to share and exchange information and suggestions with. My surgeon is Dr. Shirwinter from Memonides Hospital in Borough Park Brooklyn, NY. Looking forward to the new journey!
  17. I've done the same diet in the past and lost almost 20lbs in a 2 week period. I'm sure you will do great. I'm doing the same one for pre-op but I don't start till October. But it DEFINITELY WORKS! Let me know how it goes ???? @@byebyefat
  18. I went through the same with my sleep study. It's definitely an eye opener and a sign that the choice for surgery is the right one. I should be picking up my cap this week and according to my dr. I will use it before and just for a little while after surgery. Once the weight starts to come off he said I shouldn't need it anymore. I can't wait to have a good night's rest, I feel like I haven't had one in years!
  19. Hi you can Try a liquid diet... works for me. Protein shake 3x a day clear liquids in between, sugar free pudding or jello and plenty of water. 1 cup non starchy vegetables a day. That's what my doctor gave me. I'm sure it will work for you. There's nothing to be ashamed of, we are human not perfect! You got this, you can do it! Good luck keep us posted!
