    OK. I'm rating Folly's comment 5 stars!

You are doing WELL! 9 lbs in 25 days is great. Who cares if its not that fast?! As long as you only lose weight and not gain. People have different metabolic rates (look it up if you don't know) hence respond to food in different way. Journal is a good idea. Tell us your daily intake on an average day.

I wanna comment, guys. I've had my sleeve surgery 4 days ago. So far, I've not been allowed to even drink, I'm on IV fluids only. First day of liquids is tomorrow. For a GS the surgeon is usually instructed to remove 85% of the stomach. Some people's stomach was soooo huge, that even the remaining 15% is a big chunk. Can you eat an entire cheesecake? Lets not try it!!!!! Even the nuttiest surgeons don't recommend normal foods for a while. Please stick to your diet, because leak problems may arise in the first few months. The last thing you want is a leak and another surgery! Don't try how much your pouch can hold. You jeopardize your health (leak) and may stretch your pouch so it will get bigger. Promise to follow guidelines.
  4. I've had my band slip two times so I've decided for a sleeve. I had my surgery just 4 days ago. I'm curious as how it's possible that you no longer like ice cream and sweets. I really like my ice cream. I have no intention of eating lots of ice cream, but I wonder if this change is going to happen to me as well? Also, I wouldn't like to tell all the people at the dinner table why I eat so little. What did you recommend that I should say? I'm thinking of business lunches or dinner with a big group of friends. I don't necessarily want everyone to know that I'm eating little because of a sleeve surgery. Thanks for the feedback.
  5. Hi, I've just had my band to sleeve revision carried out this week in one go. Having read this read I'm now worried that this process should have involved two steps. My surgeon never suggested that I should have two separate operations. Why do you think having two separate surgeries reduce the chances of a leak? Please reply as soon as possible because I'm worried. Thank you.
