    @sdsdownes I also have BCBS of TX and they say to give them 30 days for approval, but I got mine back in 14. I hounded them though.

    Hi! I'm in West Houston and am scheduled to have my hernia repaired during surgery on 9/11. I'm on day 4 of the pre-op diet. Since I can't take any pills, does anyone have any suggestions on relieving heartburn? I've tried tums and alkaseltzer chewables, but they are only temporary. It's horrible!!

    I was told that I have a hernia and that it will be repaired during my sleeve surgery. I have 11 days until surgery and the nerves are setting in!!

    I'm on day 4 of my pre-op diet. I can have 2 Protein shakes a day and 1 light meal, which consists of 4-6 oz of a lean meat, 1 cup of veggies and 1 cup of fruit. I can also have 2 Snacks a day (sugar free Jello or a sugar free popsicle.)
