  1. I was sleeved 9/11. So far so good. I'm in the soft food stage and can only seem to tolerate 4-5 bites of mashed potatoes. I am getting my energy back everyday, which is great since i'm a single mom of 4!
  2. I had liquid pain meds and dissolvable nausea meds. I couldn't drink regular Water for the few week.. it just tasted nasty to me. Unsweet tea was wonderful.
  3. I'm going into my 3rd week and i've hit a stall. It's a struggle getting my protein in and i'm still never hungry. I've heard it will pass. Our bodies are in shock and it takes time for it to catch up. Good luck to you!
  4. I stated to feel nauseated and throw up a lot once I put something in my stomach, even Water makes me throw up sonetimes. I did an endoscopy procedure and then they found a hernia. I had a hiatal hernia repaired with my sleeve surgery, but sometimes, i get an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. It's not as bad as heartburn, just pressure. I was told that the swelling from the repair takes a while to go down and that might be the cause.
  5. I was sleeved on 9/11 and can just now tolerate about 4 bites of mashed potatoes. I've mainly stuck with soups because they go down easy. I feel like i'm not getting enough. I am going to try yogurt and soft fruit today to see if I can handle that.
  6. What were your symptoms that your hernia had returned?
  7. I've hit my stall and will try this. I am hardly ever hungry and have to force myself to eat, but I brought my yogurt and fruit to work today and will be snacking every 2 hours to see if I can get out of this rut!
  8. Thank you all for your input. I ordered a Vitamin package yesterday that my doctor recommended.
  9. I've heard about those... might have to look into it.
  10. I'm struggling with getting enough vitamins... does anyone have advice on which or the best to take after gastric sleeve surgery?
  11. I'm in the soft food stage and not able to eat much. I have 1 protein shake and it fills me up. I feel like i'm not getting enough nutrients, eventhough I'm never hungry. Any advice?
  12. Hi, I was sleeved on 9-11-15 and looking for a mentor or buddy to share the journey with.
  13. I had headaches the first 4 days of the pre-op diet. I think it's because i wasn't drinking enough Water and I wasn't getting the sugar that my body was used to. By day 5, no more headaches!
  14. West Houston and my surgery is scheduled for Sept. 11th.
  15. You can do it! Stay focused on the great reward.

  18. I'm have surgery on the 11th and planned on taking the following week off from work. I have a desk job and my boss is every understanding... I just don't want to push it. I'm worried that won't be long enough and I won't be ready. How long did you wait before returning?
  19. Why can't you take any pills? During my 2 week pre-op diet, I'm not supposed to take any pills, unless they are crushed. I can only take Tylenol for headaches and pains, gummie Vitamins and I have to crush my blood pressure med.
  20. When you click on your username at the top of the page, click on My Tickers in the drop down list.
