  1. I'm almost 6mos post op and I've been stuck at the same weight for over a month. I'm getting a little discouraged! Hoping the scale drops soon!
  2. Following! Great ideas!
  3. I am a little of 5 mos post op. I do have quite a bit of hair loss. I was a little nervous about coloring my hair yesterday, but all went well. There was no breakage at all. My stylist said it wouldn't cause more loss than I already have. Luckily he told me he could see the new hair growing back!! Hope that helps
  4. I'm 4.5 mos post op and have seen a tremendous amount of hair loss. I have pretty thin hair anyway, so it's a bit concerning. Everyone tells me it should stop in a few months... At least I hope so....looking forward to new growth starting
  5. Looks good. I'll have to try it out! Thanks!!
  6. I had surgery on 8/17. I've been down 62 lbs for a few weeks now. I think I've hit my first stall. I need to work on getting more protein in and exercising. Other than that, I feel pretty good.
  7. I had RNY on 8-17. I've hit a stall, been at 62 lbs down for a few weeks now. Hopefully it won't last much longer. Other than that, I feel great!!
  8. You look great! Congrats!! And Happy Halloween!
  9. Good luck! I'm 6 weeks post op tomorrow and down 43lbs! Best decision!!
  10. Congrats and a speedy recovery!!
  11. I had surgery at 7:30am and was in my room by 10:30/11. At least that's what my sister told me! Ha! I was still a little out of it
  12. I am definitely not ashamed of my decision for having gastric bypass. I have told everyone. I feel like I will be more accountable the more people know too.
  13. I just started my soft foods yesterday. I was so excited. Today for lunch, I had a scoop of refried beans, a little shredded cheese and a few cubes of chicken (I bought pre cooked) I heated up in the microwave for a few seconds...it was delish. Tonight I had a piece of flounder with fresh herbs and a bite or two of hummus! Hope this helps!
  14. I have an office job so I only took 1 week off. The second week I was exhausted, but I just got up and walked quite a bit.
  15. I can't find in my paperwork when I was able to swim after surgery. My incisions seemed to be closed. Any ideas?
  16. I too am single. I'm 16 days post op. I do get lonely from time to time. My social life is pretty nonexistent right now, but I hope that changes soon. I just try to stay positive and look at the big picture. I keep telling myself that I have to love "me" and focus on "me" right now before I try to let someone else back in my life. Do this for YOU and YOU only! You deserve that and hopefully the happiness that it will bring you. I'll be glad to chat anytime
