  1. I am inclined to believe there can not exist a healthy diet without fruits and vegetables in some shape and form. That I think is nutrition 101.
  2. So funny both of you! 1 week 2 days and pressing....
  3. @ Ms KarenC2008, does your husband have a single brother?! Lol... Had to ask. So nice that your husband is comfortable with you as you are!
  4. Just saw my doctor yesterday...one week, one day post op. He told me to start adding fruits and veggies, in small amounts to my protein shakes
  5. Hi all Today I am 1/1. Went for my first post opt doctors visit, I am down 10lbs. Energy levels much higher but have been cautioned to take it easy. So I guess I'll try to do so. This is my first week of purée food and my friend made puréed carrots and puréed chicken. Well my sleeve and my mouth simply didn't like it! So back to protein shakes for me. Thanks all for encouraging me along. Really thought the weak feeling was forever but I seems it is passing ( present continuous tense ) Did my hair and nails yesterday too and also visited my GYN. So slowly slowly I am becoming normal again. Hate the sick feeling I tell you.... Ok let me try to project only the positives in this post. With that said, thanks again everyone.
  6. @everyone. Thanks you so much for the encouragements I fel so much better. You also made me smile and I really needed that. I think I like the getting butt naked part too. I'll try it and let you know. lol... Funny

  8. Hi I was sleeved 26 August and to tell you the truth I feel like -------. I am at a lost for words. I am tired, I mean down right exhausted from doing very little. I can't say honestly that I regret because of the lack of food etc but I think it's the feeling sick part that I don't like so much. I am also staying with a friend who is pushing me to ... Oh walk the dog, you have to get up and do bla bla bla and the truth is bedside taking a shower in the mornings, a short walk to and from the park, reading and talking to a few family members by phone there is very little else that I have the energy to do. She also comes to the room and pulls the curtains, sing, and opens the windows so wide even while I am still sleeping. Here contemplating a hotel for the next three weeks before I return to my job, which is in another country.
  9. Thanks all. Slowly slowly I feeling a little better each day. Hey! This is not easy at all.
  10. Hi Sleeved the same day. Feeling weak and tired. Hope I can start eating on Thursday after I see the Dr. Liquids are now a drag. I am down 10 lbs. can hardly wait to feel normal again.
  11. Hi, I also was sleeved on 26 August . Also no vomiting, nausea or any such. I do however, has gas pains and I am tired very easily. Took a walk this morning and found myself shaking. It wasn't a good feeling at all. Kelly, hope I remembered correctly. I can certainly understand you concern having to walk back and forth . I can only suggest that you go slowly and rest when you need to. My weight at surgery was 255. Today I am at 247. I am also curios to know what your diets are like? Are you both still on Clear liquids, full liquids or purée ? Best
  12. It could be any number of things. I suggest you see your doctor and soon. My friend was experiencing same and kept on blaming being fat, the surgery , you name it! Turns out she was pregnant !!

  17. Hi everyone, so motivating. I was sleeved on 26 August and remained an extra night in hospital due to fever. I am home now and I sleep a lot . Just sleeping around the clock, in between trying to stay hydrated!which has been a very slow process. I thank God because I met a lady one month post op whose stomach refused to work. Met her in hospital and left her there. God has been good to me.
  18. Many thanks , indeed . Really needed that. I am flying to NYC for surgery and he thinks I am headed elsewhere on vacation but, after surgery I'll also need to reconsider him as well because he has really managed to stress me. Thanks again... In transit as we speak.
