  1. I had a lap band that did not work out. I think that part of the problem was that I did not control my liquids that well. I am determined not to make the same mistake twice. I have done mostly ready to serve Protein Shakes because I don't want to overdo it. I have lost about 26 pounds since the pre-surgery diet and hoping the scale keeps going on that downward trend. I need to start getting more exercise now. My left side was problematic walking but is much better since I got an abdominal binder.
  2. Hello All! I am 8 days post op and on full liquids now. I have yet to feel that "full" feeling. Everyone said that I would be barely able to tolerate 4 oz. at a time. When I get to the 4 oz mark-I am still hungry and don't feel a thing. Don't you think that is kind of strange? I see two possibilities. One, my stomach is kind of long, so it can hold more liquids. (I am 6'1') or Two, I have some major case of head hunger. If this is the case, I am in big trouble! Any thoughts on combating this are welcome.
  3. Hi Just had my sleeve done Aug 17th. I was wondering how your RA has been since the surgery? I have RA and am off my prednisone and Dmard medication (Xeljanz) and was wondering when to go back on them. The weird thing about this past week is that my knees did not hurt AT ALL! The surgeon injected some kind of pain reliever in my incision sites and I guess it traveled to my knees as well. It would have been great if my tummy wasn't all cut up! Anyway, Just wanted to see how people are dealing with RA and the surgery. cindy
