  1. Hi, thanks so much for your response, I tried Isopure and it worked great in the beginning, but now when I drink it, it burns like fire. It has some citric acid in it I believe.
  2. Hi, thanks for your response, where do you buy the bariwise?
  3. I can not see any other post beyond #9, there are graphics hindering my viewing. Anyone know whom to contact concering this? Also, I wanted to clarify, no where in my original post did i say I want to eat cake, Cookies and ice cream. I can not view this as a diet for me, that is how I will succeed. When I count calories I am thinking diet, because I did it for so many years. I had great successes and failures dieting. For me this is my best view, the lifestyle change happened with the lap band, so sugary carbs are not on the menu, I am a veggie eater ( will watch carbs with veggies). I had complications on the lap band, but I lost 71 pounds, and the docs said that, that was the average weight loss with the band. I got the gastric sleeve, because they had to keep taking out Fluid for me to be able to live normally (not sick all the time). Also, I could not eat breaded things successfully with the lap band, so carbs were not big on the band. I am ready for the sleeve, just not counting calories everyday. I will count protein and carbs.
  4. Hi,thank you for your input. I revised from the lapband, and understand that this is a lifestyle change. I have no problem with carbs, never been a big carb eater. More of a drinker, so I will look for low cal drinks. I will count calories if I have to up them, but they are so little now, maybe further out I will become a calorie nazi.
  5. HI, thank you for reponse, where do you buy the apple and pear Sobe from? Sounds good, does Walmart have it?
  6. Amen, he brought you to it and through it.
  7. I love vitamin water, but I am having problems with fake sugar too. I would have to drink the real thing. I love the dragon fruit flavor, but will the citric acid bother me? I don't know, but will try it.
  8. I must be honest, I did not have this surgery to go on a diet. I have yo-yo dieted for years. I am going to eat healthier and excercise, but I will not count calories. I just so happened to count my calories yesterday after eating two chicken wings (1 1/2 really), cooked in the slower cooker, very soft and tender, a piece of flaky fish, two baby food fruits, and drunk some water on the 30 minute rule, all together barely 470 calories. I was good and full for the rest of the day. No counting calories for me, I will count protein. Protein was 31 grams,I know I have to get it up, some kind of way. I think I am lactose intolerant now, so my protein will have to come mostly from foods. Can't tolerate anything with citric acid, so water and some new found drink will have to be my friend. Will try MIO.. Nestle orange water is good too, just started that yesterday. Anybody know of low cal drinks that don't hurt? How many of you don't count calories? I feel that I will not over eat with my sleeve it tells me when I am full.
  9. You look great! You are two inches shorter than me and I started at 220. Thanks for the inspiration.
  10. I am 3 weeks post OP too and can eat a little more than I think I should. I ate very soft boiled chicken wings (cooked in slow cooker), and I ate two for the whole day (200 calories, about 2 oz a piece). However, I wondered if I should be able to eat that much.I was wondering about this as well. I ate a piece of baked flaky fish too, 90 calories, lots of protein though.
  11. You look great, congrats!
  12. Not being hard I just was trying to understand the text talking, sorry was not trying to sound that way.
  13. Thanks for posting this, sounds delicious, but I am worried about the citric acid. I will try it at 6 weeks out and see how it goes.
  14. About to hit the gym hard next week, I ain't playing with this fat no more! You gotta go, onderland is around the corner, and I am going to meet it.
  15. Are you a teenageer, new sally? Be encouraged and don't be so hard on yourself, you will get the hang of it. Eat slowly, and try softer things as Dooter has suggested. Take care.
  16. Hi, not trying to be rude, what type of talking is this, it is hard for me to detangle your words. Are you doing this from a phone, text talking?
  17. HI, 3 weeks post op and 205, starting at 220 surgery day, 232 pre-op diet. Hopefully next week, I will excercise too.
  18. I have muscle milk light, I can tolerate it a little bit. Premeire Protein where did you buy it?
  19. That is what I am thinking, I am on my pureed stage, and I can eat refried beans. Monday will be 3 weeks post op, I can start soft foods then, like lunch meats and flaky baked fish. The next week regular foods. Thanks so much for your response.
  20. Its the fake sugar in the protein drinks. If its going to be low carb it will probably have aspartame or some other kind of synthetic sugar.
  21. I was getting sick to the stomach every time I drank protein drinks or any other drink (gatorade G2), besides water. Prior to surgery I could not consume a lot of fake sugar, the fake sugar is making me nauseated. Aspartame, slpenda, are not workin with me. I know that there are new healthy sugars out there, but does anyone know what is the best and in a protein drink? Even the protein drinks with low carb have some type of fake sugar. I will drink water until I can find something that is low carb without aspartame, splenda or anything similiar. Gotta find something quick, don't want to drink high carb drinks and protein drinks. Water is fine.
  22. Thank you for your response. I tried Isopure and it was okay in the beginning, but now the acid irritates my stomach. I like your idea about the powdered fat free milk.
  23. I can only start pureed this week, soft foods next week. I am eating baby food fruit, toddler pureed, scrambled eggs (it says I can have it on the pureed list), 1tsp of Peanut Butter mixed with my Protein shake. Peanut butter is on the list. Light applesauce, and cream Soups blended. Soy Fruit and protein milk, really good, don't drink much but it helps the acid calm down. Drinkng Water. The Protein Shake makes my tummy nauseated a little, so I will drink it much slower tomorrow. Hot and Sour Soup with an extra egg from Chinese restaurant, without the mushrooms, and I don't eat the meat and veggies in it, just the juice and eggs bits.
