  1. Thank you for response, I am believing God for minimal pain too.
  2. Thank you for response, looking forward to getting this band out.
  3. Hi, its good that you are only a little hungry. Are you in any pain? I am to be sleeved soon.
  4. Thanks for your response, it helps. When did you get your sleeve?
  5. My surgery is soon. I am a full time student, and my professors don't mind letting me off, but I don't want to get behind. Most of the stuff I can do online, but some things have to be done in the science lab. I am thinking 1 week off and hit the classroom. I have two classes on campus and two online. Is this too soon? I am expecting to come out just fine in Jesus name, no complications. Let me know how quickly you went back to work or school. Also, I was not expecting to have surgery so soon, but better now than never. No chicken here. One class is only 1 hour 15 minutes 2xweek, and the other 3 hours twice week. Mon-Thurs. I believe my teacher will let me leave early after the lab or lecture because of my surgery. I have to work it out with her. Most work is turned in online.

    Dr Javier Garcia

    How are you feeling?
  7. Hi, thanks for the response. I think the gastric sleeve maybe a faster weight lost than the lapband. You are right, it maybe how fast you lose it. I do not have to lose quickly so once I am able to eat I will try to keep calories healthy but not below 1000. I am not the bravest when it comes to having surgeries, I am like a kid the closer it gets. Run or hide. I want the gastric sleeve to be my last one, no plastics, the lapband was my first surgery.
  8. Thanks so much for sharing and it did help, I am a work out person too. I see, I will lift heavier on my biceps and triceps, and add some squats in. I am not the bravest when it comes to surgery, so I want the gastric sleeve be my last one, no plastics.
  9. I recieve it oregondaisy, I am believing God for the same outcome, so I can go back to class in about 4 days. I hate to get behind in school.
  10. FYI Fort Jackson does the band, easy process if you are revising from band to sleeve, only have to see a NUT and Pre-op, upper GI, and Endo. Scheduled already for surgery.

Hi, Fort Jackson does the sleeve as well, pretty quick process if you are revising, did not have to go throug Tricare. Surgery is very soon.

    "cheating" (A Concern)

Haven't had surgery yet, but I would be scared to cheat, thinking I would rupture my stomach. I agree, follow your doctor's regimen post-op.
  13. Thanks for your reply, nausea is not my favorite either. I am feeling a lot better about the surgery now.
  14. Hi, okay, I know everybody is different, but this post was encouraging.
  15. Hi, thanks for all the replies, I am going to get the sleeve, just hoping I can get it down at the same time, and don't have to do two surgeries. Appreciate all the comments, and they were very encouraging.
  16. Hi, thanks for your comment, I never had any erosions, slips, or abscesses, just a lot of acid reflux and choking during sleep. This band has to go.
  17. Thanks for your comments, I am pain tolerant. Gas I can expect, doesn't feel good, but I can live with it. However, pain like abdominal pain or pain in the stomach, on the inside, I can tolerate too, but not at extreme levels. Hopefully I can have them done at the same time, andersonlj.
  18. All will be well, enjoy, and take some of the advice on this thread. I don't have the sleeve yet, and will be asking for more advice soon.
  19. Steam veggies are good too, enjoyed your comment!
  20. Thank you for your comment, very encouraging.
  21. What you say? LOL! I love me some salad too, and I ate one yesterday. However, with the band, most of it did not stay down. This is why the band must go.
  22. Hi, enjoying all the comments. Thanks for all of your responses, it helps.
  23. Dooter, good question. That probably would be my approach, because I am so surgery conscious after surgery.
  24. Thanks so much for your responses andersonlj and pdxman. I've waited 4 years to eat good veggies and fruits, I can wait 4-6 months. I can live off of salad, even though we need more nutrients.
