  1. I found having soup helped a lot. Like tomatoes soup. Just nothing with chunks. I did cream of potatoes today and blended it up so there was any chunks. Very satisfying!
  2. I havnt had my surgery yet that's next months but I've been running and eating better. Well I wanted to try and tone myself up as much as possible before surgrey and I did five push ups and my abs are so sore I can barely get up out of the chair. My muscle above my breast are sore too. I thought push ups only toned your arms..... I was wrong!! Is it supposed to tone your stomach too or did I do them wrong? I did man push ups by the way.
  3. Seems like you did the surgery for all the wrong reasons. Bummer. Eat what your supposed to because starving yourself is going to make you sick.
  4. Gosh my stuff for my insurance was crazy easy. I needed a three month supervised diet. Bmi of 40 and over and a psych eval. Did some blood work and other things for my Dr. When submitted to the insurance it took 7 days. Super fast. The only bad part is I had to wait a month to even see the Dr but they said I could get started on my journal.
  5. No but I have an appoinment with him on Tuesday. Hopefully he will stay in the room long enough for me to talk to him!
  6. So my surgery date is September 14th and I did have alot of anxiety at first about having surgery but now I'm approved I feel sort of calm about it but I do suffer from horrible anxiety and even though my mind doesn't feel anxious my body is sure showing me signs I am. Shaky hands. Shortness of breath diarrhea (graffic sorry) I'm scared mentally I'm blocking it and the day before surgrey I'm gonna break! Anyone else feel this way?
  7. When I first saw the Dr I only told a handful of people. My mom. My best friend my now ex boyfriend and his family. Because I was living with them at the time and my sister. Now that I've been approved I finally told my grandma a couple of my cousins and my aunt. I'm not planning on telling the world know and if anyone out side of the norm asks what I've done I will simply tell them I changed my eating habits and started workin out. Which is not a lie.
  8. My surgion said he will fix mine. It seems pretty common. I wonder if its common in over weight people or maybe mothers??
  9. I had trouble with my Dr office turning in my stuff. They said they submitted my paperwork two weeks later I called and they said they never did and was submitting it that day! It was so annoying!! But it'll come!!!
  10. Wow!! @@shellyd88 that's amazing!!
  11. Wow 6 months! Congrats! How much weight have you lost so far?
  12. Yay!! Same day as me!! Congrats and good luck!! ☺☺
  13. My plans are chicken broth. I know for clear liquids we can have sugar free jello and popcicles. We can do flavored water also. That's pretty much on my agenda for his. I want to get some tasteless powder protein to add to my broth so I can make sure I'm getting the protein I need.
  14. How exciting! Congrats ☺☺ I'm hoping I'll shed some weight pre diet as well and prepare for the liquid stage after surgery
  15. I just got my surgery date for September 14th!!! I'm so excited I can hardly wait!! Its a day after my sons 4th bday!! So I'm glad I get to spend his birthday with him but no cake for this momma!! Who else has that same date or is close to that date!! And stats! I'm 5'9" start weight 270 I am currently 241 now. This is before pre op diet.
  16. I know what your going through. My sister and I had originally decided to go through this journey together however she opted out and I moved forward. She said I already lost so much weight why would I go through the surgery? Well if I didn't have a problem I wouldn't be qualified for the surgery. I called to tell her I got approved and she practically hung up on me. It doesn't change my decision. My health is #1 right now. Sometimes you have to do what you feel is right even when people want to judge you for it.
  17. I was gagging and wanted to throw up. Make sure you get sadation.
  18. I was given some medicine but it was awful and I remembered everything!! One of the worst experiences I had. Right after I had a colonoscopy and was knocked out because they gave me extra medicine because the endoscopy was horrible
  19. You can always call. I did anyways. Lol. My insurance took 7 days to approve it. But I called to find out. I've never heard of anyone waiting 30 days.
  20. I decided to make the decision of gastric sleeve when I left my boyfriend of 5 Years. We have a 4 year old son and I felt so insecure and miserable. My health was deterriating and getting worse by the day. I just couldn't take it anymore. My unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits were rubbing off on my son and I knew I needed to do something about. So in February I went to see my bariatric Dr and yesterday august 18th I was just approved for surgrey!!!! My insurance was super easy. I have partnership health plan of California and they approve mostly anyone with a bmi of 40 and over. I had some co morbidities like high blood pressure, severe heart burn and also discovered that o have a hiatal hernia that he will repair in surgery. Today i am calling to get my surgrey date ☺ my pre op appointment is Tuesday!
