  1. NO you won't gain weight but you won't lose either and i have 2 clients that are overweight and anorexic's and they both have counselors that do work with them and help them. it is not an excuse but a disease and it's really sad to watch them and listen to them about food. One client was in the hospital a couple months ago for starvation and dehydration and she weights 193 lbs at 5 foot. She is very sick and in bad danger. the skinny ones that "think" they are fat and start the starvation diet does loose muscle and weight. it does not work that way for overweight people!!!!! @@NewNewMe

I lost 100lbs with my band with 700 Cals a day and no stalls. I worked out 5-6 times per week. I lost the weight in 9 months. This time I've lost about 35lbs in about 2 1/2 months. I guess my body doesn't know about starvation.

I lost 100 in 8 months with the band. Gained it all back. Have had the sleeve since 8/10 and not eating much of anything. I've lost 3lbs with working out 5 times a week.

  2. i'm not losing good either. i her people say your getting in too many calories or you not eating enough. either way i can't lose. i had surgery 6/29 and have lost 15 lbs that's pre diet up to now and i work out with trainer 5 days a week and ride bike on weekend. i'm so discouraged too. i had to pay for my surgery here in the U.S. and i am so down and disgusted!!

I can relate. Very frustrated now

  3. Hi all

I had my revision done aug 10. My first doctor's appointment after surgery (10 days later) I lost 14 pound. 5 weeks later (and solid foods), I've gained 5. I'm eating 1200 calories and exercising 5 times a week. How am I gaining?!?!?

Just feeling frustrated. Wondering if any other revisionist are having difficulties in month one.

  4. I had the band for 5 years. I lost 110 pounds and gained all of it back (due to my own bad eating). I noticed with the band, more ppl gain the weight back because you can still eat a lot if you can get it by that band. Recently (really recently as in just a month), I got sleeved. I've lost 40pounds. I've noticed you can't get a lot of food in period. I gave seen ppl who gained weight back with the sleeve but the percentage is low compared to the band. It's, once again, going to be determined by how you approach food. So far, I've noticed a different in the two in terms of food intake.
