  1. Good luck! Sounds like you have a great plan, and my only thought is that you have planned so much, I am wondering if you could have been put in a rehab facility a bit easier? Keep us posted.
  2. God Bless. I do not know the answer but even with the sleeve my blood work is a mess right now, despite the vitamins. I hope you get the encouragement you need here, and good luck.
  3. No issues at all. I tell my husband he needs ironing, but I love every piece of saggy skin and vice versa. If they love us fat they love us saggy! Good luck, be healthy!
  4. The airline. I was told by Delta prior to flying they would refund the extra ticket if my husband did not need it. They kept their word! Deposited the credit back to my credit card.
  5. Babsey, at three years out I cannot eat a whole sandwich. Please take it slow and easy. I hear it is pretty dangerous to over eat. I have no bread in my house, so I can't be tempted. I think eating carbs will make you crave more carbs. I do remember being on puréed food at six weeks post surgery. Good luck, and if I were you I would discuss with your surgeon and NUT.
  6. Probably most of us. LOL. I remember my surgeon saying he found a hamburger in one's stomach, so I had it in my mind he could find what I ate.
  7. The compression stockings make a huge difference when traveling, or being on your feet a long time.
  8. I promise in no time it will make a turnaround for you!!!
  9. I was going to suggest you ask for family help with your children. But you say they are out of the country. Can your husband or partner take some of the responsibility for the kids? I would try to keep them busy with artwork, movies, etc. When you have kids at home you don't usually have time to feel sorry for yourself, I promise you every day will be a little better, then yo will feel like taking a walk, or sitting outside while your kids play. Losing weight will rejuvenate you tremendously!!! Good luck!!!
  10. Everyone of us is different. Just relax and know that things will change. Good luck!
  11. No. Just make sure you keep it clean til you see the surgeon.
  12. If you do not follow your plan, eat healthy, do some type of exercise, see your surgeon for follow up, you CAN stop losing eight. I know a big man who continued to eat mashed potatoes, gravy, Mac and cheese, and big meals, that gained ack every pound he lost. The sleeve is a great tool, and unless you force a lot of food through it, you should be fine. Just listen to good advice here and sta on track! Good luck!
  13. I bought an extra seat once for my husband, flying from Florida to Vegas. He did not need the extra seat but I did not want him embarrassed. Delta promptly refunded the price of the extra seat, as promised.
  14. M husband and I can attest to th fact that people won't figure it out unless he tells them. We told no one, we lost weight slowly by eating different. So our"diet" changed our life. No one pays attention to how we eat, I really dot want to talk about my surgery to everyone so life is very simple and good. We do out out with couples regularly, and now even another couple splits one steak dinner like we do because we were all overeating.
  15. Peace and hugs from a grandma!
  16. Three years experience extinaBlue. Go to FB for foolishness. I am here to help anyone. Good grief.I'm not sure why you are singling me out, as I am saying same things as everyone else, trying to be supportive. Congrats to you on your journey. I was looking to give empathy as I am also on my 3rd day, I think I've been misunderstood. But that's ok. Carry on. We all rock no matter what stage of this journey we are on. Didn't single you out girl, just responded. I do my best to be supportive. Can we be friends!? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Order good food and take home a great extra dinner!
  18. My email is Lindaddav@gmail.com. Would love to be friends. We were in Boca Raton when the weather came through, my 28 year old only grandsons wedding. Storms do not bother us, lifelong Floridians. I would rather be here than anywhere! Tell me about you!
  19. You cannot pray for patience. I have always wanted to. Check out the Bible, ❤️

  21. Alese, my husband does better than me, but he eats smoked salmon and things I do not like. He has lost 100 lbs. he is 69, I am 70. It has been wonderful and life changing. Thank goodness for Florida and fresh seafood. I was at 160 but a cruise and traveling sabotaged me lol. I am now back on protein shakes, ar 170 lbs. I am struggling to do better. I am swimming each day with short fins, and using weights.
  22. Hello! I live in Jacksonville, and travel lots to Perdido Key where my daughter lives. My husband and I were both sleeved. I reached 160 but went back to 180 so really struggling. Back at 170 but so darn hard. Back on shakes, and working hard!!!
  23. Get some drawers with a sting tie at the waist LOL!
  24. Please please please we are not doctors. When in doubt go to the ER.
