Concern about Eating Junk
Thank goodness I never had a sugar addiction. It was bread, crackers, carbs. Now we have no bread or snacks in our house, so the best solution to me is not to have it in your house. So many people have kids or grandkids, so I know that is harder for some. Good luck.

My issue or is it his (the hubby)
In all seriousness, keep your eye on the prize, and that is your health and weight loss. I think he will come around. For sure he will gain weight.

My issue or is it his (the hubby)
His problem. But my hubby wouldn't come home to refried beans and cream of wheat either LOL. You can sauté great veggies and a great hamburger patty for him, or a steak which takes just minutes. Or add him a microwaved baked potato. That is if he comes home without eating. Til then, feed yourself! Good luck!!!

Approval with low bmi and no comorbidities?
Why don't you go to a free WL Seminar, sign up, and they will check with your insurance and do all the legwork.

Genepro ideas?
I put it in a small glass of V8. Great! I make a protein shake once a day, adding silk almond milk, 1/2 vanilla yogurt, ice, GENEPRO and SF Hershey's cocoa powder.

Help
Mix, mingle, get some Dasani strawberry sugar free drops which are red, and add them to the water. There, you brought your own yummy drink. The more you move around no one is going to see what you eat, and say the truth, I ate before I came, I am strictly dieting. Relax!

Before Your Surgery Suggestion!
I find most of the questions are not what to cook, some of these Newbies have no earthly idea of the stages of eating after surgery. I think that is why we get so many questions about eating solid foods a week post op. If no one gives them instructions (their surgeons), they are clueless and that is scary. I am trying to make sure we warn them to push their surgeons for instructions, more than anything.

On dialysis
Not on dialysis SandiJ but I just wanted to say hello, and wish you the best. Hope that you find the answers you need! My sleeve was done outpatient in a great hospital, and I was home in 8 hours. I think you need to consult with the finest Bariatric surgeon you can find.

New here and wanting advice.
Sounds like you are not sitting around eating! Welcome to the group. Fifteen or maybe more years ago I followed my poor husband to WL seminars. If he had known about the sleeve back then I think how wonderful it would have been for him. However it is never too late, as we were sleeved at 67, three years ago. Best of luck!

Before Your Surgery Suggestion!
Good! You cannot go into this without being very well informed!!!

Disappointed in myself
Actually I cannot remember that far back, three years, but I am assuming that I took a bite of something! But since my husband and I were sleeved together we were accountable to each other and we are always side by side, retired.

Disappointed in myself

Disappointed in myself
I can't help but laugh as my surgeon said he found a hamburger in a stomach so what we ate he would find. I was scared he would find pizza in my stomach!

Pureed food recommendations

Alcohol Post Op
Four weeks after surgery, I barely sipped soup. One year after surgery for my birthday in New Orleans, 2 glasses of wine made me drunk and carried home. To each his own, I made a fool of myself. Thank God for my husband and family.

Being Sleeves October 3rd and I'm Starving
Food is LOVE from my poor childhood with an alcoholic father and a loving Mother who made me Georgia dumplings, biscuits and gravy.
