Hi slimtrimshel - yayyyy to others noticing your progress [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] it's funny sometimes I like when it's noticed other times I don't. My Water intake today is at about 40 oz but I will get in another 24 before the end of the night (at least that's the plan )
Oh what have you been telling people when they ask questions?

Hey everyone, long time! I am down about 45 pounds and feeling great. I do however need to drink more Water and get in some more exercise. I am very happy with the progress so far.

. I have also had wine. I do a sweet wine and do 1/2 Water 1/2 wine still tastes delicious. I still have not exercised, I just don't have the energy but that is because I found out I am Vitamin D deficient. The dr now has me on a weekly D Vitamin and a monthly B injection. I'm hoping that helps!! And yes I take my multi vitamin everyday.

Exercise is a hard one for many of us [emoji22] but for me it's necessary if I want to drop these pounds - I'm not a sweet wine drinker but I can see how the Water would still leave a good taste as it cuts down on the sweetness. I had a Vitamin D deficiency as well and took prescription D up until recently, sometimes our bodies do as they please. How's everyone doing

Hi guys. I cant believe the scale says 238. I mean the last time i saw that number i was a college girl! We are talking 7 or 8 years! I'm down about 40 lbs and its so weird. i went thrifting today because all my work pants are too big. It's somewhat funny though that my jeans still fit. They must have been suuuuuuuuuppppppppper tight before. Hahaha.
I'm losing weight in my lower leg. Um eew. How about more of this abdomen or a little off the back, nope, calf it is. But I'll take it! I can actually see a difference and yesterday i was sitting at work and didnt realize i had my leg tucked up under me... and was comfty.
So confession... I had a slice of pizza, well not actually a slice, more like the toppings. It was good. But wasnt oh my gosh i gave this up why oh why good. Nothing to write home about. I'm glad. Didnt even go back for a second helping of cheese a nd pepperonis.
Ok, im rambling now. Just thought id check in. Anyone else noticing a change in their clothing yet?
And positive.... oh nooooo. Hopefully the butt shall return! (In a totally fit package)

Rhayla! How dare you do this to yourself? I absolutely CANNOT believe you got half way through a hundred pounds and just stopped. I mean you quit!! Not OK Rhayla! I can see you now, sitting out on a sandy beach, while men dressed in speedos fan you with grape leaves. Women pass by peering over their oversized shades and your oh-so-fabulous body. And you give them a wink and a nod that they too can be fabulous just like you!! Just Like You Rayla!
But wait that isn't the scene right now. Oh hunni you are still fabulous but we are only halfway there.
Put that milkshake down and pick up a Protein shake. There are women out here waiting for your success to prove they can be successful too.
    That's an order soldier!
(But seriously I really wish you the very best. I'm one month in and sick of this already. Jeez. )

@@breg, you asked a question. Everyone that responded has experienced Day 12, and knows how they felt, what stage they were in and how that intake responded to their bodies. Everyone is different, but there are many similarities. The post op dietary instructions are medically based on thousands of procedures. You may choose at any point to do things your own way, but there can be anything from mild discomfort up through death if guidelines are not followed. This is a vast treasure house of knowledge you have tapped into. Most people are willing to share their experience up to the point in the process that they are now. And many have questions for people that are farther along than they are. I hope you continue to ask questions, listen to the answers, and then make your own choices...here as well as in all other aspects of your life. I truly wish you the best with your new gift... the rest of your life.

Jessee3897 reacted to 1Cor2:9 in Black Don't Crack
Yesterday I had the fine pleasure of having my three month follow up, an appointment with my PCP, and blood work to check my levels. I had the follow up first. It seems that most of that appointment was centered around how I feel about my progress. Before I get into how I feel let me share with you what my progress has been. I am very close to being 70lbs down three months out from surgery. I had no complications. I mostly stick to the plan that was given to me by the dietitian. I drink Water pretty regularly and take my Vitamins everyday. I work out for at least an hour four to five times a week most weeks. According to my team I am losing weight at a rate that is faster than most patients they see in their office.
How do I feel about it? Well I am not entirely sure. I know that I am not upset about losing weight. At the same time I know that I am still obese. When I was heavier I could do all the same things I am doing now. Perhaps I can do them somewhat better now, but it is not as if I was immobile and now I can walk. When I was heavier I still had to walk the dog and walk to get all my errands done. Having said that, climbing stairs is less of a pain for which I am thankful. The nurse said, your blood pressure is prefect, but my blood pressure was fine before I had surgery. When the nurse said that my blood pressure is better than his I replied with, " with black don't crack!" Haha. That is why I am losing fast because I'm black! (Calm down love, I am joking, My race has nothing to do with my progress) Do you feel happier? I have a natural melancholic personality, so no. I am just not at the place yet in which I feel accomplished about what has happened. so far or shall I say fully accomplished. It will come along it just is not today. I can live with that as long as I do not waste the gift I have been given. They asked me if I wanted to speak on my "success". I have not gotten to the point in which I feel successful. I am not a year out yet let's see if I am success in a year, two years, three years time-- twenty. What do I have to share with anyone? Do what you been told by the team? Ha! I made a deal with them if I am 100lbs down by June 15 that I would speak at the support group.
My PCP on the other hand was support and not as per her usual. You need to work out more. Oh, I do? Then she showed me exercises that she thinks I should do. Now people I have no intention of doing them. I believe that what I am doing is fine. Yes, I will need to change things over time, but for the most part think I am okay. She also told me to stop drinking soda, but I do not drink soda and I did not drink soda even before surgery. Sidenote, I love how people assume that obese people just like to eat and drink everything without preference. There were all kinds of things I did not eat before I had surgery. Like soda, brownies, cotton candy, saltwater taffy, coffee, tea, meat, shellfish, and so on. But let me get back to the point. My PCP is not great at listening, so I try to take things in stride. My thought was I know I exercise more than you old lady. Tell me to my face again I need to work out more, but I did not say those things.
I know I am going to make it. One day my obesity will be my past. And the fact that black don't crack will help me as well. Ha! had to bring it back one more time.

Jessee3897 got a reaction from Athenyx in Who was sleeved in January 2016?
I was sleeved on February 8th I have lost 30 pounds. For that sole reason I am okay with the sleeve. I have clothing that is starting to fit loose and pants that fit again. As far as eating I don't have the same joy as I did before. Which when I type it sounds a little bit ceiling but alas it is the truth. Currently I eat a lot of cheese probably too much cheese I make baked cheese crisps which are delicious I eat string cheese and of course cottage cheese I also like boiled eggs but I don't eat the yolk even though the nutritionist said the yolk is fine. I eat chicken but literally every time I have it I am mad at myself for eating it because it makes me feel so full. It's just so dense. I also make smoothies but limit the fruit. As far as exercise I am still using my resistance bands and walk about 2 miles every night on the beach of everything I miss full calorie drinks the most. I would love a Pepsi right now. But I can imagine that my taste buds would literally go berserk. So what about you what is your life like right now?

Diva no no no. You pick your head up. Call your insurance company and find out just what it is they are missing. Or wait until Monday and call your surgeons office and speak with the insurance person to find out what is needed and have them get on it asap. It is not time to give up. Not yet. This is just a speed bump.
