    Frustrated!

@@TheProfessor I did speak to my surgeon's practitioner once early spring, when I had my first deflate, then again in June when I had another paired with a minor slippage. I'm usually feeling rushed in and out when I go. Plus, I live over 100 miles from their office so it's hard to get over there. It's been worse the past couple weeks and I've already made up my mind to go tomorrow.

    Band Friday!

Don't be scared! I had my surgery over a year ago and the recovery time wasn't too bad. When you first wake up, you'll think "What have I don't to myself!?!" But every day you feel better than the day before. I was back at my desk job 6 days after my surgery! Even though you don't feel like it, walk around every couple hours like they tell you to. I should have done that more. Some of that air settled in my chest and man, it hurts! After recovery, and having the band filled, life is so different. If your situation is anything like mine, you will lose weight because eating becomes a chore and not something you do for pleasure. It's been hard for me, because I used to love cooking and dining out--food was a passion. Duh, that's what made me fat! Lol But now, I eat only to live. Not like I used to or most of the people I'm around. I have lost weight tho! I am glad I did it! Nothing else worked for me, but this has. It's been a slow process, but steady. I've lost just under 50 lbs in my year. My progress is slower than most because I have terrible genes that come with terribly under-active thyroid plus hormone problems. You will probably lose weight quicker than I have. Best of luck!!

    Frustrated!

Have had my band since 7/14/14 and lately I'm feeling a lot of regrets. Probably more than half of the time I feel like I can't eat. The "stuck" feeling, and/or pain when I do get something down. Been like this off and (mostly) on since like January of 2015. I've had a few deflates and it seems like I'm back in the sand state after a few days. It wouldn't be so frustrating if the suffering had a little weight loss pay off, but I've only lost like 15 pounds in 8 months. I'm following all the rules when I actually can eat. I feel like I'm fat and starving. Im so SICK of protein shakes and puréed soups!! Anyone else felt like this?
