  1. Hello, I haven't had to do the protein shakes my dietician said they are not important .. I'm wondering why though.
  2. Yea I've falling on hard times due to faith as well just praying it gets better with time
  3. our comfort zone can be a hard road block. But you will be fine, that's a great idea to find a more age related crowd .. My church has a variety. Which I love so I understand what you mean. We're here for you through it all. Just a type away lol.
  4. Britt- I think it's personal. How long have you gone there? Do you feel supported? What are you involved in? Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to try out different congregations if you don't feel you are getting what you need. I wouldn't just switch on emotional day though. Feel it out. Agreed.
  5. I was at that point in my life before, you just have to find a church that's right for you I fell off very hard I was disappointed with the church and just so much was going on I wanted to know why God would allow this. But I had to learn that everyone is different in their walk and growth .. We have so many social events that I enjoy. Maybe try being social. Looking for a church home is a process pray on it daily, you might have to give it time
  6. Yes, I so wanted to go yesterday I plan on calling my pastor this morning just to chat. I felt the most exhausted yesterday since I've been home . I never had to do protein just a lot of portion control. And one hourof waiting for I drank anything I still ate out and things like that and still lost the weight but gained one and a half pound (see how easy it was) my mother and a few people in church said the same to me why have it your doing great .. It's like I stated I didn't get to this weight just once I've always been bigger and struggled with my weight .. I struggle daily like am I ever going to be able to eat again some foods I know are totally gone but I see posts on here with people still having fun with food and enjoying life I look forward to that
  7. same here.. I was like .. "You did good pre op so you should have just stuck with that" but I know me I would have just reverted back to my old ways .. I haven't had nausea yet and I'm on a full liquid diet until the 27th yay! Right lol. Head hunger has set in only when I'm preparing food for my family or they are fixing them selves something. I watch cooking channel strangely but I never eat what they eat so I'm fine lol. It's a long hard road but I'm ready and I know God is with me.
  8. No thread were just here I figured we can start here.. My surgery was the day after yours how are you feeling any buyers remorse nausea etc?
  9. . Congrats that was a big decision .. Awesome none the less. Since surgery I missed church but my prayers are none stop I plan on going this week though .. I need that pick me up during the week my church is very far from me.. So I really wanted to start some type of connection here
  10. Today is the big day good luck .. Praying for a complication free surgery and a speedy recovery ????????????
  11. I love your story and admire your courage to open up ..????????????
  12. I agree.. We need that type of support. Daily for myself at least. It's a battle and why not stay in tune with our father and protector
  13. Linda I'm praying for you .
  14. Or going too have sleeve surgery wanted to start a support thread ????????
  15. Thanks I loveeeee spicy food I can imagine not having it I personally feel like it adds a nice taste plus the heat lol
  16. Yea it went down ok. Just saw on here someone say no to spicy it could be because of heart burn idk I'm only 4 days post op first day with full liquids trying too keep it interesting since I have 11 more days
  17. I made a Campbell's condensed nacho cheese queso soup I added lemon juice and jalapeño juice was this okay?
  18. Thank you hugs. Back I will make all my calls and keep you posted. Thanks so much ..
  19. I will keep you all posted I'm see in my info packet they say no and I asked myself maybe I should add it on my own ugh I wanna heal fast.
  20. . Not sure but I feel once they do I should be better lol or feel a little better they have a few August threads .. I can never get any answers though lol.
  21. I agree sticking together is a great idea .. I would enjoy that's since we were sleeved in the same day. I haven't had to endure protein yet I can't understand why though . My dietician said they are to high in calories which is weird I've seen some that are low in calories... Idk .. Any way I sill have 13 days 11 days till my 2 week appointment which is when I can have real food again I'm hungry a lot might be head hunger I just keep in mind that soon I will be able to eat.
  22. I had my surgery on the same day. Head hunger started today lol due to commercials etc. lol I didn't have much pain in the hospital . With me it's a mental fight. And worrying about what could happen leaks, clots etc. can't wait for the worrying to stop so I can feel better emotionally.. The buyers remorse sucks. Lol I'm told it passes once I can eat again????????
  23. I'm unsure I asked the dietician the day before surgery she said no.. I'm totally confused I wasn't expecting that
  24. I totally agree about commercials ugh they are the worst especially Popeyes it's been coming on back to back
