I'm having my surgery at Salem hospital wit Dr.Rivera I am all set and just started my pre op diet today is abit strict but I m almost there surgery on Sep 2nd.

what is "comorbities"? And wow, 40 is a high BMI, for the insurance to require you be at...IMO. I am currently at 41.5 BMI, but i'm 135 lbs. over what i should be, so that is more where the insurance requires. But, i'm also diabetic, have hypertension (controlled), and because of some fluke issues with leg surgery i have mobility issues...so, doc thinks right now i'm a good candidate.

As for the losing weight, i'd add some protien shakes (low-sugar or sugar free) to your daily diet, or every other day. I have Vega Greens and Vitamins, it's vegan, but for me more importantly, it's sweetened with Stevia only. I mix it with my breakfast smoothie.

Congratulations @@oy_heffner my surgery is on September 2nd as well. I'm anxious excited about the whole thing some moments I think of the worst and some others I can already picture my self 3 month out and what I'll be wearing???????? trust me I know how you feel. Making videos for youtube and recording my journey has helped me lots and I also hope it does help others. Plese keep in touch and I will be praying for you as well.

I just got put through 2 weeks ago for gaining after I manage to get down to the proper weight I had to maintain my nutritionist told me to eat no more nor less than 1500 cals a day and like that you will maintain the weight steady I promise.. And trust me I have been struggling for a whole year and finally im having my surgery

I was advised the total opposite thats weird. I was put to wait almost a year bc i gain a few pounds, and they said that insurance was going to denied me for not showing compliant. .
