  1. Good luck to anyone who has surgery today!
  2. This is exactly what I'm telling myself. I'm sure I'll need PS, but it will be a reward to myself for kicking ass.
  3. Omg I'm sure, haha. Don't blame you at all. Waiting like that over the weekend sucks. Thank you!!
  4. This is so great! I was worried for you. I'd be SO mad if my surgery got cancelled or changed after being on the liquid diet for awhile. I'm a week in the pre-op diet as of tomorrow and I'd rage lol Surgery is June 30th. Any other 30th people out wanna connect hit me up.
  5. Thank you! I'm excited about it. 12.2 down so far in total
  6. Day 3 of my pre-op diet and I'm down 8.8lbs so far. Very excited.
  7. Hey all! Pre-op appt and diet starts today for surgery on the 30th. Nervous and excited. I know I can do it, just going to be tough and I have to prepare for that.
  8. You got this! I'm also prone to UTI's, so I feel your concern. I think worst if you get one would just be setting you up with antibiotics like usual and try to force liquids even more. Sending good energy your way. Keep us updated!!
  9. Hey @AlwaysCrusing . I’m worried about the limit of having my partner back there with me too. I haven’t heard from the hospital where the surgery is going to be done for a time/rules/etc yet. Hoping for an early surgery and that I can have someone with me.
  10. Hey Travis! June 30th here for the sleeve. Happy to see another dude here haha
  11. Oh my gosh @colormehappy I’m so sorry you had this happen. Sounds like all is well now and you can focus on healing.
  12. Hi all! Just got my date - June 30! So excited and nervous and a bundle of emotions. Would love to start a group chat or something to stay in touch and motivate each other.
  13. So excited for you. Waiting on that phone call here any day now...
  14. Nice! Yes it was very quick, I was definitely out for the entire thing. I told the nurse and she said it’s a much quicker procedure than a colonoscopy so there’s a much less chance of me waking up. She was right! Even went home and slept for like 5 more hours haha. Surgeons. He wanted to make sure I didn’t have any “surprises”. They found a hiatal hernia and will fix it during the WLS.
  15. Oh goodness. I'm hoping it knocks me out. I've had a colonoscopy with twilight and I was awake the entire time.
  16. Hey all, I've been working towards this surgery for a while now, and I'm finally at the steps before it actually happens. Nervous, excited, uncertain.... you know the drill. Just wondering what advice you have going forward. Any questions I should ask. My endoscopy is next week Thursday, bit nervous about that but at least I'll be put under. Anyone have any tips to share about that? How it went? Anyone else have Aetna for insurance? Also nervous about the approval. I've done all the pre-work and luckily the place I'm working with is very "on it". Sorry for all the questions. I'm sure this is to be the first of many.
