  1. I had revision from band to RNY in December 28 2015.so far about 40 pounds down....starting to look a bit older though...I can't explain it...but As I lose weight my face looks older...

  4. Funny my friend who had the sleeve is looking to revise to RNY....years later...I wonder why?Gold Standard ...I know this because after 13 years of lapband misery...I can say my revision to bypass 2 months ago is the best thing ever!38 pounds down and...much more to go!!!
  5. Find out more.I am a sensitive....if she was harmed in the place or a mean individual then I would be very concerned.Get a blessing and burn sage with a prayer.....

Go RNY.I had the band and suffered for years.Just recently had a revision to RNY.my decision...my doctor was curious and asked me how I decided.I told him....this is it...the gold standard and I am not looking for surgery no.3.The bypass has been wonderful.Absolutely no complications whatsoever.I feel great.

  8. This surgery is major.You can wait a few days...you want your surgeon up and healthy....for sure.
  9. I stop journaling and I eyeball.The difference is I am very strict.No sugar...Paleo type diet.I am losing slow but steady...and no dumping etc. High Protein low carb is the way to go.Slow and steady.
  10. Also drink lots of detox tea. Please note you need at lest 2 weeks to heal post op.
  11. This is not the time to measure yourself.Just heal and stay hydrated.In a few weeks you will see a difference. You are on your way!
  12. I had revision from band to bypass at the very end of December 2015.It's been great.My weight loss is slow and steady.I was below 40 BMI and have PCOS and am 52 years old.I have 35 pounds so far and I feel great.No issues.I follow a mostly Paleo diet.
  13. Revisions ...weight loss at a slower pace but steady...I am also in my 50's with PCOS...I am so happy with RNY my only regret is why didn't I go this route from the start!!!!:-)
  14. I had 13 years of misery with the band....I am 3 months revision to RNY.Best decision ever!!!! No Gerd,vomiting,pain,slippage,stuck issues!!! I am living life normally again!!!!

  16. Almost 3 months post op...I feel great!!!!Losing slow and steady...the revision was the best decision!

I had a revision on December 28,2015.It is the best decision.No more vomiting,gerd,weight gain,slippage,port site pain or protrusion etc.My RNY is great.Keep in mind the weight loss is slower with revisions but I feel great.My cravings for sweets are gone and I have never dumped.I feel so much better.Just went for my 3 month blood test this past week.Will keep you guys posted... I feel great!!!
  18. I stick to a high protein diet .Very little carbs and no sweets.I still have a protein shake.I don't measure calories.The a Paleo diet works for me.
  19. He is in denial...take a photo of him and show him...have a serious discussion.He needs to get help.Be firm and serious with him.You can't live like this....
  20. I know the feeling...I have been chunky ...in my eyes...it wasn't until I was in a group photo recently I saw how fat I am...not a wonderful realization.
