Do not get the lapband.I am in the ER now...since 2004 it's been a nightmare and I gained all the weight back.Its not good!

I found another dr.His earliest appt is on Sept 1st.If I go to the ER what tests would they perform?They usually won't touch a person who has a band....?

May I ask you are getting a Revision from sleeve to?i am torn...lapband to??? What's your experience with the sleeve?

I have had a lapband since 2004.The only ones who know are my parents.I like it this way.No questions no judgements,no failure.

Do you need the sleeve revised?if so I am also hearing a lot of people needing sleeve revisions.

So let me get this straight.If you have band slippage or erosion then it's covered.?What about the fact that you are having regain,Gerd,other co morbidies and say you hover around 35 to 40 be I are you able to great revision covered.?What is your insurance?

Dhrguru...How are your sisters doing with the VSG,lap band etc.?Why did you opt for the Bypass.I am torn between revision to The sleeve or Bypass.

What test are for Gerd? I have a barium swallow and a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis /PO and IV contrast.Also an adjustment to scope the band and remove any fluid.This is also to check for slippage.What am I missing?

Looking at your pic your are gorgeous and young!You can do this thing!200 pounds ain't bad at your height and if you do nothing then it will be worse.You are young without the history of yo yo diet over many years.At 19 you can do it!!Get it done!

Listen if you fool around and not get that gall bladder out there will be trouble.If you cancel then you will you have it done?You...have to take it as it comes.Please take care of yourself first then in turn you will continue to be there for everyone else,most importantly your daughter. I would get it done.Once and for all.If it was Bypass I would say cancel.

The hormone Gherlin comes back in Sleeve patients after several years.Is that true.Is it the same for bypass .It is that hormone that once removed makes it a bit easier. What are the long ter results of the sleeve? I want to make the right decision with no regrets.

I am dealing with this band..my insurance is being crappy and it is 2 weeks before I can get a barium swallow and a look to see if my band has slipped or erosion etc.Inwant it out .Still open to sleeve revision or bypass.My surgeon I met with only does 2 part revisions.Band out wait 3 months then revision....I am not sure I want to go through 2 surgeries.

I have heard about this and my doctor mentioned this to me as well but showed no immediate concern....stumped...

Have you gone to the ER?Also who was your surgeon?

Did you have a 1 part or 2 part procedure.Band out then wait 3 months for revision.It may be the staples.You need to get to a specialist ASAP!There has got to be a good dr in your state.Can the revise sleeve to bypass?
