  1. I love to drink too! I have not had the surgery yet so I'm not sure either. All I know is you have to wait 6 months but I thought beer was off the table.?? No bubbly stuff. Plus if you drink a lot you can gain the weight back. I hope someone that has experienced this will comment. I have cut way back on the drinking since I decided to get the surgery so I'm prepping myself for no alcohol. Good luck!!

  2. SGC, I take spin classes and my knees hit my stomach and it makes me so mad! I adjusted the seat so now they aren't hitting as bad but it's still annoying. I can't wait to get rid of this stomach of mine. I haven't gotten the surgery yet either but am so looking forward to it. I love to work out and weighing less will make it so much more fun! The elliptical or just walking will help you get moving and feeling better. I always feel great after a workout. I do Zumba and spin classes as well as the elliptical. I need to start lifting some weights soon. Good luck!

  3. I've been doing Zumba for 3 years now and I LOVE it! If you can't do the moves just keep moving until you learn the routines. As long as you are moving you are exercising and the music is great! I had no moves until I started doing Zumba. And no one cares if you are a beginner, just do what you can and keep going back!

  4. I am planning on getting the gastric sleeve done. I've noticed that a lot of people that have had the gastric bypass end up looking very old in the face after losing the weight. My question is, does this happen with the gastric sleeve? I don't want to end up looking older than I am. I'm 45 and I have been told I look 34-35 years old. I take good care of my face so I'm hoping I won't end up looking 10 years older. Does anyone have any feed back on this? Thank you!

  5. I am also hoping for end of year surgery. My last nutritionist appointment is October 27th (have to do 6 months due to insurance requirements). I called the Dr.'s office and was told that the end of year is their busiest time and they can't guarantee I can get it before the end of the year. I also need to do it by then. I work in a tax office so I need to be ready to go again by the last week in January. Good luck to us both!!

  6. I was really scared but it was fine once I got to talking to the Dr. I was there for an hour and a half. There is a questionnaire asking a lot of weird things. I think it's to find out if you are really depressed and stuff and if you can handle this type of surgery. I just answered them as truthfully as I could but a lot of them didn't refer to me so I just put N/A. My Dr. told me at the end of the appointment that I was good to go. I'm sure you will do fine.
