Need some feedback from sleeved folks 18 months-2 years out.
Thanks so much, everyone. It isn't even the numbers as much as the labels. I want my weight to be "normal" rather than overweight or obese. I am taking on board your advice to just keep going and not focus on the labels. I am going to have to work on that a bit. Otherwise my head seems in the right space.

Need some feedback from sleeved folks 18 months-2 years out.
Need some feedback from sleeved folks 18 months-2 years out. I just had my year visit with my surgeon's office. HW known 336 SW 303 CW 194 GW 136. The doctor said that I should aim for GW 170, that I am being unrealistic in my goal. That would still leave me overweight for my height bordering on obese. Do you think reaching 136 by my 2 year anniversary is unrealistic? That is 58 lbs in a year. Although they were thrilled with my results, I am feeling discouraged after my visit.

One year out... 140 lbs down...
I will be a year out on Friday. I am currently down 142 lbs from my highest known weight of 336. SW was 303. Best decision I ever made.

Gallbladder can't be taken out during surgery?
I had the sleeve surgery on 7/7. Had 3 pretty easy weeks and then became really, really sick. Unable to drink or eat, throwing up bile constantly. I went back to my surgeon a few times and went to the ER twice. CT scan did not show an issue. An ultra sound finally showed a bad gall bladder. They had done an ultra sound before surgery and did not see any issues. Gall bladder out through open surgery on 8/20. Recovery was more painful than the sleeve surgery but boy was I glad not to be sick anymore.

100 pounds gone! Never to return.
Today I reached 100lbs lost from my highest weight! I lost a two month old horse. I still have a ways to go but I am off all meds, no longer diabetic, no longer depressed. I no longer hurt and I can play with my niece and nephew. Overall more active and more engaged in life. I thank God everyday for Dr. Sadek and his team. It absolutely makes NO freaking sense to me... **MY RANT**
I am grateful to the veterans who post on this forum. I lurk most often. I was in therapy for two years before I was even ready to consider the surgery. Then I attended a seminar in July of 2015. Started the process in January and had my surgery in July 2016. Surgery went fine and I did really well for two weeks and then was violently ill for 3 weeks. Turns out my gallbladder needed to come out. Since May I have lost 78 lbs. + 8lbs I gained each surgery in fluids. I know that some of it is because I literally could not eat or drink for 3 weeks but I still give myself credit for every pound. Now i am learning to eat again with the sleeve. It is still hard to get my liquid in but doing well with Protein. Head hunger can be a real thing at times but I know that my body cannot handle the things my head wants. Since I have recovered from the gall bladder surgery, I am getting more and more confident. When I have questions, I come here and find posts from veterans that have already answered them. Thank you, Lipstick Lady and others. BTW, I am meeting one of my heroes this Tuesday and will be getting my picture taken with him. It is the first time in a long time that I am looking forward to a photo and I am still more than a hundred pounds away from goal. Feeling better about myself everyday.

Horrible
If you still have your gallbladder, ask for an ultrasound of it. I was sleeved on 7/7. I had two good weeks and then four miserable ones. They finally discovered that my gallbladder was bad. After they took it out, I was able to get liquid and Protein in. I have an 11 inch wound though and am in a lot of pain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'M SO HUNGRY!
I think I am hungry at times but know I am not. I think it's partly head hunger and part stomach acid. I am looking forward to puréed stage tomorrow for different tastes and textures. I am not losing as fast as I thought I would. I retained a lot of the iv Fluid for a while but now am losing 1-2 lbs every two days. I am so happy I did this. My incisions itch but hardly any pain. Made it to the losers ' bench.
Thank you everyone. I was tackling the Atkins Lift because my nut said it counted toward both Protein and liquid. I did not finish it but did have gello with protein that was about 20 grams. I do have a sore throat. Also did anyone have red dots on their tummy but not near their incisions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Made it to the losers ' bench.
I was sleeved on Thursday and have been home since 5 last night. Have only been able to get down half of an Atkins Lyft drink that has 20 grams of Protein. My stomach is gurgling and groaning. Pain is minimal but I have some time in the restroom. Should I be worried that I am having problems getting the protein in? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How much weight did you lose on your pre-op diet?
I am on the liquid diet as of yesterday. I have been doing a modified version for 2.5 weeks, two shakes, a yogurt and a high Protein meal. I lost 15 lbs in 2.5 weeks. I have a lot more to lose though so I think it is hard to compare. You will lose weight on the liquid diet don't obsess about the number, just rejoice that it is going in the right direction. Good luck!

CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS
July 7 and I cannot wait. I am so excited. I am on full liquid as of yesterday but just realized I didn't need to start it until tomorrow. Doh! I have been doing a modified for the last two weeks...two shakes, yogurt snack and high protein meal. Had a last weigh in with the nut today and am so happy I am down a total of 30lbs from my highest weight and I am hoping for another 7lbs before surgery date.
