Good Luck it took me 6 day to go!!

I found to get some gas up was to put my arms on the table and lean my head between them trying to open up your throat air ways. After awhile I would burp... Also eat as slow as possible and only like half or Quarter of a teaspoon at a time.. Good Luck !!

Here in New Zealand it's now the morning of the 18th eek! My day us finally here... get the kiddies off to school tidy up the shower and hubby coming home at lunch time to take me in as my surgery is early afternoon. Best of wishes to my sleeve buddies around the world who are also being sleeved today X. P.s. Thank to anyone who has contributed to any questions I've had over the last few months!!

I start 1 week liquid diet tomorrow.....fingers crossed it's a smooth week!!! Good luck to everyone else starting their liquid diet and especially those having surgeries! !!

Thanks I will be having surgery on the 19th this Wednesday. I have been on a liquid diet for 2 weeks now and have lost 18 lbs.. Great Luck to you.

sorry to here your discomfort..... It will only be for a short while but you well feel so much better for the rest of your life...

Me too!!! But my goodness I have the worse headache right now from this liquid diet

Well if it helps at at I had them the first 4 days but on the fifth they are all gone .. Stay strong focus on the outcome..Bill

Hello Everyone! My surgery is August 24th! I have been on a liquid diet for the past two weeks. A 4 week liquid diet . so 12 more days. However I super excited!!

Omg. How do you do it? What are you drinking? Aren't you starving?

Honesty I have been on a clear liquid diet since the 5th and the first 3 days was really tough but after 4to5 days on it I guess your body adjust to it and I am having no problem. Can not wait for the 19th !!!

My sleeve date is Aug 19th!! I'm so excited and glad I found this group. Can't wait to be apart to be on the other side.

Yes that is my diet I am on the 7th day of Clear liquids and it is getting tolerable.

So I was told by the surgeon yesterday that he can not do the Roux n y because of scaring from hysterectomy and ventral hernia so he will only do the sleeve. My insurance will ONLY cover this doctor so I can't shop around for other options.

I have only researched the bypass and so am new to this forum looking for information on the sleeve. Will I lose as much weight? Is it more mentally intensive? I don't know what to think about this.

Hi Karen, My Dr. told me the sleeve you would loose 80 % of you excess body weight and the Gastric by pass you could loose 90% of excess weight. The sleeve is less evasive. He also told me with the sleeve you could loose more than 80% with correct eating. Did you have a surgery your date was the 5th ??

Im august 14th and i am sooooo nervous now. I can't even see myself not being a big girl anymore. It's exciting.

Hi Natasha, Don't feel nervous just think of the positives. My surgery is the 19th I can't wait the days can't go by fast enough. The liquid diet stated really rough by I am on day 6 now and pretty much all cravings are gone . I really feel I can do this till surgery with no problem..

My surgery date is August 24th. I'm a little nervous and excited as well. I start my 14 day diet on Monday. Nervous, but ready because I'm tired of carrying around all of this weight.

Hello, I know can not wait to be on the other side of surgery. I started my 14 day Clear Liquids diet last Wednesday this is the hardest thing I have ever done. Great luck to you.

Hang in there my friend, I am not speaking from experience but I was told several times it gets better each day. I feel your pain. WOW I'm right around the corner. Hope I still like the chrystal lite. But you have to look on the bright side.That you are drinking ok. Thats GREAT!!!

Just got the call this evening....my approval came through 1 day after it was submitted!! Surgery is on August 25th. I start liquid diet on the 11th!!

August 11th. This Tuesday! The pre-op diet has been much easier on me than I thought it would be. I've felt weak in the legs and have been hungry but am pushing through it and keeping moving. I walked my first 1/2 mile yesterday. My legs got weak quickly but they carried me the entire route and home safely. Yay my legs!

One more day of work after this and I am OFF for the duration. I'm so excited to have some time off to heal and get used to the routine and the food preparation and do the walking. This is a good thing.

I and 60 years old and my mobility is the same as yours but I can not wait to experience this new life change. You like in Protein shakes is the same as mine I have stocked up. The only one I dislike is Isopure. but I live on Crystal Light. sugar free Pink Lemonade.

Hello, Thanks for helping me with some good tips. I am a very determined person and I will get through this.As far as the meal its a no go with my Dr. but thats ok have stocked up on Protein shakes and creamed Soups.
