@@StephOnTheMove please be careful with the Tomato Soup. She may be a NUT but did she tell you that most Tomato Soups have A LOT of sugar in them. I'm two months out and I haven't eaten that Soup yet. Please be careful but also use your best judgement.

Truvia or stevia is my favorite so far. It tastes great in coffee and everything else I've put it in.

I really love the almond or Peanut Butter packets. They sell them at Starbucks and some have honey in them but I'd just get the plain ones. I don't know where you're at but fruit is still very iffy for me and I wouldn't try it on a plane. You can have hummus but just remember the easiest but probably not the best tasting thing for traveling is Protein powder. You can take it everywhere!

I told my coworkers so I could be held accountable in moments of weakness. Every day I get positive comments and words of encouragement. It's helped me not to get frustrated on hard days.

I made mine a little too wet so the crusts were softer than regular crust and I think that's ok for me right now but down the road I might make it a little less moist to get the really crispy crust. I'm very happy with it and Pinterest has so many good recipes for it. A good tip I saw for when you have to chop your own cauliflower is to put it in a blender with some Water and pulse till you get the consistency of rice then drain in cheesecloth.

OK if you are in the solid food stage I seriously recommend this. It is so delicious, not bad for you at all and it just fixes that pizza craving you probably had. I hated pizza before gastric bypass but I really love this recipe. Jolly Green Giant actually packages the cauliflower already chopped so that you can make the "dough". It took very little effort to make and I added fresh tomatoes on top so delicious. I made so many that I had enough to freeze for future lunches. Just pop them in the freezer with fresh toppings then reheat in the oven. Just like bagel bites!!

I had bypass on 8/10 and I've lost 32 pounds. This week I've only lost one. It was my first week back at a desk job and I've worked out twice. I'm frustrated because everyone is telling me it's normal but I still feel bummed.

Just a poached egg without anything else is enough for me.
-
I know it sounds gross but I tried an egg over easy with a very runny yolk and smashed it all up and that was some of the best I've ever had with a little salt it tasted so good! And there was no sticking problems because it was so moist from the yolk.

I'm still not hungry but my brain keeps telling me that it would love some pickled beets, lemon Water or anything with vinegar. I saw this today and my mind was blown.

I had surgery on 8/10 and I haven't yet started to feel hungry but I'm am overwhelmingly thirsty. I can never seem to get enough Water. I went for a hike yesterday and boy was that a big mistake. I was so thirsty and hot and could not get enough water. How do you guys manage exercise without being able to drink a lot of water? Any tips and tricks? At home Powerade zero has helped but I'm just always thirsty...

Every doctor is different. Mine says I'm a woman and I need Iron because I have periods. I have a friend that doing the sleeve with a different doctor and they want say more stuff so just ask if you're unsure.

I take alive children's chewable vitamins. My surgeon said they were ok and they taste great! They have Iron in them and cost about 13 bucks.

I went to the doctor for my one week postop today. I weighed in and so far I've lost 13 pounds since last Monday. She said I could start puréed foods and I'll be on that stage for about a month. I got the Steri-Strips off my incisions but I was allergic to them so now I'm liberally applying Benadryl cream. My first puréed meal was Beans and the canned green beans with garlic and peppers in them. I got some foamies afterwards but other than that I just felt really full. Feels good to be off the chicken broth stage.

Ok so I have been crushing my pills since surgery on Monday and today I just couldn't do it. I cannot take enough Water to wash them down so I was at my wits end. I decided to try some of the funnies I bough pre-op to see if that was tolerable. They only have 2g sugar in them so I thought ok let's see. No problem! I am so happy and relieved that I can continue my second most important dietary addition. Thank goodness!!! Now I seriously can't wait for some beans...

I'm four days postoperative RNY and I have lost 8 lbs. I'm scratching about 300 calories a day or less.
-
I definitely understand. Everything I am drinking is the consistency of Water. I thin my stuff out a lot.
-
Yeah it was a hard day today. I did not do as well as I wanted. Thank you!

I had RNY on the 10th. I'm slightly confused because j have had no nausea, vomiting and very little gas pains. The only thing I can say that's really different is the feeling in my chest I get after eating anything. Also I have a lot of pressure after meals and sometimes feel like my new tummy is spasming or cramping. I've been trying to take my Vitamins and get my Water and Protein in , but it's been extremely hard. I don't feel hunger anymore. I have been struggling with the head hunger and craving weird stuff like Beans crab and salmon lol. Luckily it's stuff I can have in the future. I'm starting to get tired of broth and Protein Shakes, but I'm in it for the long haul now. There's also this creaking sound coming from my chest when I'm laying down. So weird!

Yeah I just made a dumb decision. I've been trying to get my Water in but omg it is so hard! I've only been able to get in about 30-38 oz of water a day.
