I have been thinking major TT and breast put back where they used to be, or / and a red convertible, maybe both. hopefully next year I will have several things to Celebrate, being goal weight, daughter graduated college, and the big 50. I will definately do something big...
-
congratulations!!!!!!! I know how you feel, I felt the same about a month ago first time I have been on onderland in probably 10 years, Keep up the good work.!!!!!

Dr Jaime Ponce, he is my surgeon and I have only had 3 fills, one then the next one a month later, that was august and september or 05 and then one in feb 06 and I still have plenty, restriction. I go to the Chattanooga Office but he also has one in Dalton GA.

i have bcbs of TN and got approved as soon as they got all the paperwork morbities and all. i had over 150 pounds to lose, I got the approval without a medically supervised weight loss whatever. but I did have the diet history and every thing turned in. couldn't get my DH's insurance to approve me because I didnt have this medically supervised weight loss, HOWEVER once I had the surgery BCBS has been a pain to deal with, denying everything and I have to call and get it resubmitted and my DH's insurance gives no trouble paying. I think I will drop BCBS again next year, I am paying out for nothing..... I also despise that company and they did approve me.

I got a bike last week also, got to find a more level place to ride, I got a TREK and the seat on it is comfortable , believe it or not..

definately depends on what you do for a living. I work in a paper mill where it is hot and requires alot of heaving lifting and repetitive motion. I waited 5 weeks, hey didn't want to take chances with this. I know people that answer the phone for a living and type on the conputer, well I was doing that when I came home , the same day. but I felt better after a week.

finally I have reached onderland weighing in at 198!! thought it would never get here..I only hope I don't bounce back out of onderland as my weight fluctuates so bad.
-
i was 48 when I was banded
-
lost 105 was banded June 9, 2005.
-
count me in, I was 206 this morning, I fluctuate alot so maybe I am 206 maybe just close but I am trying so hard to get to 199, for a short term goal. this challenge is perfect.
-
way to go, I am so close to onderland, 205 but coming from 308 the weight has gotten so slow to come off, really tries my patience, but I will get there, I am so proud of both of you, you are doing great and that is a great milestone!!!!!!
-
good luck you will be in my prayers, you are not vain at all, just finishing what the band started... keep us posted.

I went to the movies the other day with my aunt and I resisted buying popcorn, then here it came beside me. So that was all I could take, I ate hers. But as long as I am aware of what I am doing and take the calories into consideration, I still do all right, I still lost 2 pounds this week which put me over 100 in 9 months, so it has slowed down. We can't strive for perfection, just be very aware of what we are doing, don't let anything go into your mouth with out being aware of what you have done, and make better choices other places. It is all about choices, yes I agree the best thing would be to avoid it totally, but we are human and that is not always possible, and this is a lifestyle change, not a few months of sacrifice. The main thing is not to say like I said preband, well I blowed it today what else can I eat. that is what got me into trouble, not just a little popcorn, or another small indescretion. And I do agree what helped me was just remembering what this stuff did to me and how awful I felt after I had eaten it. That alone was enough to make me quit after a few bites..And it does get easier as time goes on.

I can't even eat of the morning, so it is a Protein Shake for me and I have no problems, sometimes when I get too many carbs ( I am on a low carb diet) I get really tired and don't do to well for a few hours, otherwise I have plenty of energy.

sounds like she is just insecure about her chest... maybe she needs surgery.
-
hey sounds like they have a problem, don't let it be yours, you are doing great. i think you summed it up when you said jealous, or maybe your mother in law has a control problem.... Either way you did nothing wrong and don't let her rob you of your joy.

i would like to join the gone for good club with 99 pounds gone for good.
-
my doctor will not tell me for the very reason he said we would be comparing it and everybody is different, the nurse however told me i was almost 1/2 way that was in September, I was very tight, very tight but now after losing another 60 pounds I am going for another fill tomorrow. wish me luck,
-
tropicana were you even around before rny, maybe before the lapband but you must be young, if you feel that way why are you even on this page, you sure don't have an ounce of understanding...
-
I am a happy bandster also, lost 90 pounds in 7 1/2 months, my dr. says alot of the weight loss is due to following directions and working out so much not the band but I couldn't have did any of this without the band, I think it is the best thing I have ever did for myself. and it has made a huge change in my life...I wish anyone considering the band the best of luck in dealing with Insurances and the journey with the band itself, it has been a godsend for me...
-
little one don't worry about the bad things you hear about the band, they still aren't as bad as carrying the weight around, and just remember you are hearing from the few that have problems not all of us thousands of happy ones. Yes the problems can happen, I pray that it don't happen to me, but if it does, I still am not sorry I got the band , it is like I got my life back, all my comorbidities are disappearing and at one time I thought I was resigned to living a slow life with disability looking me in the face and now 7 months later I feel like a normal person again. I have lost almost 90 pounds. but many have did really well and not lost as much it is very individual and sucess is about how you feel not about numbers.
good luck

hey like they said just do it... I was 308 and a year and month later I am 186 and had almost given up on weight loss I had tried everything. This is the best thing I have ever did for myself. But a word of warning, the band will not make you lose weight, it will let you lose, if you do the work....it is not a miracle or quick fix, but a tool to let you do your thing...I get so sick of people (that I meet in public) saying I got the band and I haven't lost much weight, mine is not working I can sit in a mexican restaurant and eat chips all day. well duh, if you want to change your life why are you doing that in the first place,
anyway, if you are ready to make a change, the band is great, and thanks for a chance to let me vent.....
