Thanks for the post !!! I'm on my preop journey and this was one of my questions that I was too afraid to ask my DR.
As far as the sex drive is concerned I would think that's natural considering weight loss gives you more energy...lol
Congrats on your weight loss so far

lgrif1201 got a reaction from Miz.Phenom in Sleeve fears
So I'm a 23 yo male that's 5'9" and weight 328.6 lbs. I've been going thru the processes with my insurance for about 3 months and I've found it to very helpful and informative.
While I'm excited about the process of becoming a new and lighter me, I'm a little afraid of what comes with that. For one I'm afraid of the actual surgery. I've never had a broken bone or anything as a child so I've never had to have a surgery of any kind
And second I'm afraid of the loose skin that comes with the weight loss ... My initial thoughts is to run the gym after healing and strength train to build muscle to prevent as much skin as possible.
If someone post up can share experience it would be much appreciated.

lgrif1201 got a reaction from bring in What all did you have to do
For my insurance it's a pretty lengthy process as well....
    1) attend a Bariatric class
    2) get blood work done for endocrinologist
    3) attend appointments with behavioral health and nutritionist ( they determine how many appts I'll need but generally it's 4-6 for each)
    4) both the behavioral health and nutritionist will send letters to the endocrinologist stating I'm cleared for surgery
    5) set up an appointment with the surgeon for preop evaluation
    6) schedule surgery
I took the Bariatric class back in Feb but I wasn't able to schedule appointments with behavioral health and nutritionist until end of May and early June respectively. I've been cleared by behavioral health and should be cleared by nutritionist at the end of September.
    Hope that's helpful
