  1. @dreamingsmall I am going to try and eat clean for a bit, I always feel better I just don't lose a lot of weight very fast. But maintaining or losing a small amount and sticking to whole foods I feel like it will at least help me prepare for changing my diet completely after surgery. Probably won't be for 6-7 months but that's a long time to not gain if my eating habits don't change.

No answer from insurance yet. I called them just now and they stated that my Dr.'s office left some info off of the paperwork. It's all small stuff like is it inpatient/outpatient, provider info, place of service, tax id ect. Once they get that info back from my Dr.'s office it'll take another 5 business days to hear back.

NOOOOO, that's terrible news!!! Hopefully it will be worth the 5 extra days and you'll get good news!

I didn’t get the report but he told me I was a risk taker (I carefully plan!) and that I was cheerful but manipulative! He said I don’t follow rules and go my own way. It was all so odd. Then he wrapped it up by saying none of it was bad. Mmkay. I let it bother me for about a day then I cheerfully conned a guy into letting me bungee jump for free while refusing to wear the harness.

I had to read that last bit there a couple times ROFL!!!!!!!

  4. You are making the right decision for you...... And I'm sure it wasn't an easy one to make. Just one word of caution....I've read that a lot of people become more fertile after surgery get that hubby snipped! All the best to you and I hope everything goes well [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

So many of us are convinced people are looking/judging/disgusted by us, from the largest we've ever been to even the smallest. My wish for you is that you can get out from under the "fat girl on the inside" mentality. You are you no matter what size. You're @ReddGypsy on the inside! Those insecurities are just carried with you no matter what you weight, so there are really two battles here.

SO MUCH YAAAAAAS!!!! I have always said......If you don't like me at my biggest, you damn sure aren't going to be a part of my thinner life!!!!!!

  6. Honestly,

I don't think it matters WHAT size you are. My best friend since I was 3 years old is a natural size 2 and eats mac and cheese and potato chips SINGLE. ME at my biggest right now SINGLE, but I also won't get naked in front of anyone LOL so I prefer the single life for now. Don't let a couple of Jerky men get you down. There are some good ones out there, just a lot harder to find now.

I would definitely say post some pics just like @FluffyChix said......then we can all tell you how amazing you look and give you a nice little ego boost to start your morning :-D

That all means I could have the surgery this year but she said that most of the doctors take the end of year off so I’m not hopeful. I think I’m looking at early January instead which is fine since it’s such a small difference. The only benefit to having the surgery in 2017 is I’ve already hit my deductible for the year.

keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!

The other nurse practitioner called me this morning. She's the one that I've known since I had my lap band in 2009. She said I do not need to see pulmonary and that they are going to tell insurance they will treat my sleep apnea with weight loss. She said that my insurance is going to have the 90-day waiting period. So, since my initial consult was the end of September as long as scheduling works I should be able to have the surgery end of December. She said a lot of the surgeons take time off at the end of December so that may make it challenging but hopefully we can get it done!

That would be wonderful!!!! I'm still waiting to have my first consult. I am checking two different surgeon groups one in November and one in December. I'd love to have it done early next year...if I don't have it by March I will have to wait until June. I have a trip to the Dominican for my cousins wedding and I DO NOT want to be healing down there LOL

Well, it's official! I have mild sleep apnea! It still feels really odd to be happy about that. The nurse practitioner thinks I'll have a good case for approval now. So Tuesday I found out that I meet with the nurse practitioner, the psychologist, and the dietitian. All three of them have to fill out paperwork that will then be submitted to insurance. So, I'm glad I have the sleep apnea result before I go to that! She wants me to see pulmonary as well. She doesn't really think that I'll actually need a CPAP. She thinks I may need clearance from them for insurance though. I'm going to try and find more out about that on Tuesday.

Do I say CONGRATS!!!! lol .... I'm still waiting for my results :-( tomorrow will be 2 weeks since the test.

    Keep us updated!!!!
