  4. When you want to quit remember why you started! You will have cravings,You will desire what you shouldn't have, Be strong! and just think about what you put in your mouth before you do, I take comfort that I'm not alone with this tough task, there are a lot of people that are in a tougher situation than us, you made the right choice by having the surgery, It was a big step in the right direction You put yourself on for a healthier future and I'm sure for a longer life, Just keep being strong and continue to make the choices and you will see results every week. I was second guessing myself also but I regain my focus and saw that i put myself in the situation I was in to need the surgery,Then when I eat I get full quick and that's my safety net that catches me and keeps me on track! Protein first and veggies second. I wish You the very best! and remember you are not alone!
  5. the biggest concern is straining your abs,go bowling and see if you can,I'm 4 weeks out and I don't have many issues with activities, so give it hell!
  6. FLA applies to companies with I think it's 50 and more employees, I think gastric surgery is a voluntary and might not give the rights as an emergency would, sorry to be negative, I gust giving something to research, I wish good fortunes!
  7. That's a tough one, My job is a physical one as well, I've been out of work because of a knee injury but I've been working around the house, Three weeks ago I wouldn't think about bending over to lift something off the ground but know I pretty much lift anything up,I would think one month off will be fine, But as stated, We all heal differently. Best of luck
  8. I hear you Brother, I have the same issue, but I have so many aches and pains they all blend into one another, I'm approaching 30 days post Op. July 14 was when I got sleeved, The past 10 days it's hurt a lot less but the first few weeks it was almost unbearable, I did all I could do to avoid the pain but I also didn't want to baby it, so i eased into a little more movement each day, BUT like they say,We are all different. Best of Wishes

  10. I had the same issue, really nasty and painful, 5 days I dealt with that very severely. I had become Lactose intolerant since I started the program but then it grew into something more to do with all dairy,I got sleeved 7/14, I bought the lactose free Protein powder and drink and lactaid cottage cheese and milk, that stuff was destroying me! The fifth day I switched over to egg white powder and stopped all dairy products, then I took metamucil at the advice of my dietitian to tighten things up, it all worked! knocked it down to about one third of the problem. you can try Benefiber, this has no flavor so it can be mixed with anything. I saw my surgen today,He said I am doing great, healing up nicely,my stomach is growling and moaning because I need to eat,so have at it,follow stage 4 and go easy, then he said he's not worried about me at all and that he'll see me in 5 months and see my nutritionist soon, I call her and she said have a hard boiled egg or some ground turkey in chicken broth, I went with the egg. I'll tell you it was the best damn egg I ever had! I went for a second and couldn't finish it,Hahaha But definitely call your Dr.and or Nutritionist to be safe, this is what we pay them for. Best wishes
  11. I had my sleeve on 7/14 and I could eat a horse and chase the rider! I'm hungry all the time! I woke up from surgery hungry and asked why I was then, the next day was the same,He said its unusual, I see the surgeon Wednesday and I cant wait to hear what he has to say about this.

  14. I'm lactose intolerant so I drinking egg whites protein powder, one scoop with 12 oz. Of water is 120 calories and 24 grams of protein, I have 3 a day plus diet cranberry juice and sugar free jello, so I'm under 500 calories
