Keep Cheating On 6 Week Pre-Op Diet!

I think you can still do it but you MUST have the will power not to stray from your pre-op diet..... If you can't do this then your will fail once you've been sleeved....
  2. My surgeon feels that this hiatal hernia is insignificant, but I'm in constant pain along with severe GERDS. Pisses me off to have such an Ahole for a doctor.

    Still no relief for me

Hey everyone, so the worst possible thing happened today.. I missed my appointment with the new surgeon today and had to reschedule so I have to wait another month to see the surgeon..... I'm so disappointed I've had my upper GI and endoscopy done and it shows a hiatal hernia severe case of GERDS and an ulcer..... My Current surgeon feels the need to do nothing and the closest surgeon is 4 hours away.......

    SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION

OK thanks this should be interesting...m most of the stuff you named my surgeon has never mentioned to me
  10. Because he doesn't want to. Says nobody need the RNY, me personally feel as if I would've done better with the malabsorption procedure rather than the restriction procedure especially since my sleeve is bigger than the average person. My surgeon is a major ahole.
  11. I wish my surgeon would've done the RNY but he no longer perform the procedure. I had the sleeve gastrectomy 15months ago and sad to say it was a failure I've had so many complication until I regret my decision to have the sleeve. Now I'm looking into a revision from the sleeve to the bypass

    SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION

I have a question for those who have went through the sleeve to bypass revision.... What is the general process like for those of us trying to start the process to have the revision using our insurance

    Insurance Approval

Hi, everyone just wondering if there's any revision sleeve to bypass patient of there that have United Healthcare. If so was it extremely hard to get approved for the revision surgery and did it take a long time for the approval. Also I'm only 14 months out from being sleeved and just wondering if I would have to go through the entire process again. I'm having extreme complications with gerd not to mention I've only lost about 30-40lbs with the sleeve. My BMI is still over 40 and my health issues have become more complicated. My diabetes is worse than ever, my blood pressure is staying up and the GERD has me in pain and vomiting a lot. Any advice anyone??

    What was the deciding factor?

Hi, Chelsea I wish my nutritionist had told me that I have the sleeve and my reflux is extremely bad since I've been sleeved. So make sure you ponder on which procedure you want because now I'm in the process of trying to have a revision done from the sleeve to the bypass. I wish I had been informed...
