  1. I have gained 25 pounds back. I got my surgery July 2015. I'm embarrassed and ashamed of myself. I feel like a failure. I was doing terrific for the longest time. I didn't go back to the surgeon for my yearly surgery anniversary because I'm ashamed. I'm hungry all the time and craving sweets like mad. Worse than even before I had the surgery. I'm not eating right. I have lost that "restricting feeling" when I eat. I also lost "feeling nauseated" when I eat touch sugar. I don't know what to do. My current weight is 260. My goal is 150. Struggling badly!

  3. This is very, very, VERY hard for me to write. Please, before anyone responds, I don't need any harsh criticism, I just need support. I was sleeved July 31st, 2015. Up to date, I have lost 60 pounds. Yes, I am way behind in my weight loss. I've gotten off the path and have started eating bad food again. The sugary things were making me sick before, they aren't now....why? I just don't understand it, I know people that have gotten the sleeve, have "gotten away" with eating sweets when they wanted, and have lost 100 pounds by now. I'm not saying I expect to go back to bad habits and the weight still come off, just wondering why it's different for me? I thought certain foods would still make me feel sick. I want to get back on track. Just need some suggestions on how to. And has anyone ever heard of going from sleeve to bypass? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    High BMI?

My BMI was 50 to start. I'm only 9 days out. Anyone else have a high BMI? How did you do?
  5. Hello. My BMI was 50, and I am only 9 days out. My weight the day of surgery was 285. Anyone else in this bracket? How did you do with the weight loss? My surgeon says to focus on the "200" mark. Well yeah...I'd love that. But I'd love to get to 150 pounds for a long term goal. Does this mean he does not think this is possible?
  6. Hello. My surgeon said it was ok to add some whey protein/powders to my foods. I'm still not getting enough protein in. He doesn't want me on protein shakes anymore, but said adding some powder is fine. Does anyone have recommendations on protein powders or flavors?? Where is the best place to get them??
  7. What type of multivitamin do you use? I was looking for something that tastes decent

    Calcium

What brand of Calcium do you use? My surgeon recommended chewable (not gummies).....just wanted something that didn't taste too bad.

    Lunch ideas

Thank you everyone! Do you remember how many daily calories you were at at 5 to 6 weeks out?
  15. I'm sorry to hear about your family situation. I'm having trouble getting protein in, but my surgeon recommended no more protein shakes. He said to add protein powders to foods, which I am researching powders now. I'd just try to drink what you can get down comfortably.

    Breakfast

Hello. I am a month out today. I was wondering if some of you could give me more suggestions on what to eat for breakfast other than scrambled eggs and protein shakes.

    Breakfast

@@MarceMonster thank you! My surgeon said I can start a regular diet, they didn't give me a list for that. They just said focus on protein and low carbs. Where did you get carb quick pancakes?

  20. Hi. Just wondering if there is a time where weight loss will be a little faster? I'm down 20 pounds from July 27th (my surgery date). Is that good/bad? I've been exercising the best I can. I do videos at home, now that the humidity is gone, I'm going to start walking. Still getting days where I feel weak.
  21. Hi all. So I've spoken with 3 people I know that have had gastric bypass and they said that they did not exercise at all and still lost weight. One of them lost 80 pounds in 10 months. Why do sleevers have to exercise to lose? What is the difference between the two? Not making excuses, just want to know why?

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

@OutsideMatchInside...Not looking for a particular answer, just support.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

I've actually heard the opposite about maintainance. To the folks I've spoken too, they said the initial loss was harder, but maintaining is easier now because of weighing less.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

I do exercise. I'm not making any excuses or trying to get out of it. I was just wondering the difference. An acquaintance of mine, 9 months out lost 100 pounds. No exercise whatsoever. She had the bypass. Anyway, I also am looking forward to be able to hike and things like run 5k's.
