  1. Hi. I will begin my soft phase today. Let me first say that I focus on protein first and foremost. I was wondering if anyone can please tell me what carbs are allowed at this phase. Are you ever allowed soft tortillas for example? Also, I was wondering about meatloaf, since it is made with bread in it can't you eat it, or is there an alternative way to make it? And can you eat baked potatoes?
  2. Hello. My surgeon is staring me on vitamins Tuesday. What do you guys recommended as far as name brands, easy to swallow, ease of purchase?? Calcium, B 12 and I forgot the other one.
  3. I don't think it is deceptive by any means!!!! It's nobody's business what you had done. If anyone asks me personally I'm saying high protein and low carbs with exercise. It's not a lie.
  4. Congratulations to you all!! And thank you for your advice, and for being so kind!!
  5. Soli3l, I had the sleeve and am having a very rough time with spasms, nausea, and a lot of pain when things go down.
  6. Hello. My BMI was 50, and I am only 9 days out. My weight the day of surgery was 285. Anyone else in this bracket? How did you do with the weight loss? My surgeon says to focus on the "200" mark. Well yeah...I'd love that. But I'd love to get to 150 pounds for a long term goal. Does this mean he does not think this is possible?
  7. My BMI was 50 to start. I'm only 9 days out. Anyone else have a high BMI? How did you do?
  8. I'm sorry but I'd be pissed!!!!!! It doesn't matter WHO you told, they should have never done that to you. I'm with you 100%
  9. Hi I have a shower Sunday which Monday marks 2 weeks post op. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on soft foods I can eat there? Also, when, or is it ever safe to eat popcorn?
  10. I am so sorry to hear this. Sending hugs and prayers to you
  11. Yes I have talked to my surgeon. He said I may be healing slower than normal. Put my vitamins on hold for another week.
  12. Soli3l you don't need to apologize. We are all here for the same reason. That's like the 6th rude response I've seen here from someone. I thought this was for support????
  13. Wow Babbs! That is a rude response!! Remember, we are all here for the same reason! I've posted the same topic 4 times, is that not allowed??
  14. I'm only 8 days out but am totally MISERABLE. I have spasms constantly. Deep stomach aches, nausea. Will anything ever feel comfortable going down again (food, drink)?? And how long will that be?? I can't take much more
  15. How long after your surgery were you able to eat cottage cheese?
  16. I'm not talking a year out. I want to know how long it took to eat comfortably. Like 2 weeks, one month?
  17. I took 6 weeks off. I have very low tolerance for pain and do not bounce back easily after surgery
  18. Oh I respect it. But it's just extremely difficult right now trying to handle these spasms. I'm just praying for a little comfort is all :-(
  19. Just wondering at any point in anyone's sleeve journey did liquids or food feel "GOOD" going down?
  20. I will do that snowkitten. Thank you!
  21. What do you mean by nitro? Thank you
  22. Thank you both. Yes cream of wheat is allowed they said but very very thin consistency...which I watered it down pretty good.
