Bridal shower

Hi I have a shower Sunday which Monday marks 2 weeks post op. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on soft foods I can eat there? Also, when, or is it ever safe to eat popcorn?

Popcorn is way down the road. I would say at least a few months. You can't take the chance of a kernel getting lodged in the staple line along your new sleeve.

There is no nutritional value to popcorn, anyway. You need nutrient rich foods the first few months to keep that muscle you'll be losing along with the weight.

I would take a protein shake with me and eat before I went. Don't be tempted by cake or bread! Make sure you are not hungry when you go...I was sleeved mid Oct and went to a Halloween party, they had Hawaiian bread with spinach dip that I LOVED, I ate 2 pieces and it was horribly uncomfortable! That did not go down well at all! I tell you the one good thing, that feeling kept me far away from bread! I never eat bread, LOL. The sweets will not sit well in your tender stomach either...trust me, don't try it.
