3 oz grilled chicken breast + 1.5 oz chopped green veggies + 1 T. light salad dressing is my standard lunch. I couldn't eat that much as early out as you are, but that's the general idea.

Following the Protein first rule, here goes:

Grilled chicken

Greek Yogurt

Soft veggies (you still don't want really crunchy stuff at this point)

Low-fat cheese

Low-fat dressing

And if you have room...maybe a cracker or two to satisfy any carb craving you way have...like wheat thins. You probably won't get to it anyway.

P3 by Oscar Meyer is a good thing for on the go.

I'm 5 weeks out and have been on soft foods for the past week. This is what I've been eating...

Chili (homemade and Wendy's)

Deviled egg with 1/2 a string cheese

Meatballs with marinara

Chipotle Burrito Bowl (no rice)

Qdoba Burrito Bowl (no rice)

Trader Joe's Shiitake Mushroom chicken

Trader Joe's BBQ Chicken Teriyaki (no sauce)

Quest Bars

I ate and often still eat a small can of chicken mixed with a little mayo for lunch. Just a few ounces, good protein, settles well on my tummy, and is completely satisfying. Just right for me.

I love half of an avocado with salsa and sprinkle of cheese. Very good.
