. What kind of wine are drinking? I think I need a glass ????I am in line with the other "slow pokes" sleeved Dec 8. 5'11" and just a smidgen under 250 on surgery day, and 221.8 on last scale, so 28-ish pounds gone.
Work folks are seeing a change. It is more than 10% of my body weight gone. That's not nothing. I saw no change on the scale for the last 10 days, but I did feel it in my pants. The muffin tops are melting.
I'm getting enough Protein and I'm improving on Water intake, but its constantly reminding myself to drink.
What I'm eating now is not what I thought I would be. eggs and beef are not good. Fish is great. And undercooked goes down better than well done. 900 calories a day is what I'm getting.
And I'm drunk on half a glass of wine. That's new. And I mean DrUnK.

Hello everyone I Was sleeved. Dec 3,15 and my weight the day of surgery was 260. Today I weighed in at 232 so that's 28 pounds lost... I feel like the weight is coming off slow???? but I haven't been sticking to the Protein shakes... Do you think that's why... Please share your progress here ...

. Dec 3 and I have a appointment Saturday so I will talk to my doctor ????When was your surgery? I couldn't get my chewables down either for the first month. They tasted so chalky and nasty. My plan didn't allow me to swallow a pill bigger than a pencil eraser until I was on solid foods (which was 8 weeks for me). Do you have a nutritionist or bariatric advisor that you can talk to? He/she should be able to help you find some other options or at least let you know when you can progress to a tablet. It does get easier. Hang in there!
. Thank you I will look into this ????Patchmd.com ... It's a life saver for me. chewable vitamins made me gag.. My NUT told me about them. Now I just stick a patch on the back of my shoulder and forget about it till I change it the next day

I purchased Multivitamin from the advantage bariatric website and after chewing one I feel so sick to my stomach I start to gag I hate taking these Vitamins so in the past couple of days I haven't taken any I also have the calcium citrate chocolate chewables and I just hate taking those as well and I just haven't been taking my vitamins how long until I can just take regular pills instead of doing chewables. Somebody please help

. Thank you so much... I feel so much better now... This message made my day... ????Deep breath! Yes...the Oxycodone definitely helps. I'll be 2 weeks post-op tomorrow...and have managed primarily with liquid Tylenol and liquid Ibuprofen.
Immediately post-op, do yourself a HUGE favor and "splint your abdomen" by hugging a pillow each time you have to get up out of bed...This will save you lots of pain and unnecessary stress on your belly muscles. Remember, one of your incisions on the left side of your tummy will be the one where your surgeon has to pluck out the 80-85% of your old stomach...so you're going to have some sore spots.
I had 6 lap-incisions...but the only 1 that hurt was the one where my excised stomach was pulled out through.
Make sure to faithfully do your incentive spirometry (metered inhalations, to help decrease any risk of post-op pneumonia)...and get up and WALK ASAP...
You'll be fine, hon!
Keep us posted as you recover!
