  1. You can do this @garbekr0118 Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. It's like we tell others, we must tell ourselves too, this is not the easy way out. I think you will find around here everyone cheated here or there, but don't beat yourself up about it. You confront the problem head on and push forward. If you absolutely feel you aren't ready then reschedule it and work up to the point when you are.

    Any August Sleevers?

I had been on a Top Chef kick on Hulu and binge-watched like up to the 4th season. I started watching the other night and had to cut that off real quick lol
  3. I am going to have to try and stick my shake in the freezer. Sounds like that could work. The worst part in the morning for me getting it down right now is the consistency and temperature.
  4. Apples and Peanut Butter was like my favorite snack!!! I hope I go pretty early in the morning as well.
  5. I have split it to where we each have our own cupboard in our pantry. He told me today that he wants to start eating healthier as well which will help tremendously. Of course he can have salads and all I am craving right now is a nice salad lol
  6. My patient coordinator says it is withdrawal more than likely from caffeine and food. Mine only lasted til the morning of Day 2. Granted I am only now on Day 3, but I haven't had one since. I don't know what your diet will be like but I am still allowed to have unsweet tea and black coffee, I just haven't had any drink yet other than my Protein shake and Water.
  7. Ditto @@ylluz!!! I am Day 3 of my pre-op diet now and feeling great, energized, and optimistic. A drastic change from the last couple days.
  8. Yay! The headaches were the worst...today I am headache free as well and actually feeling energized.
  9. I am sorry you had to encounter that. I am definitely of a higher BMI, but I do not look down on anyone who is ready to become a healthier version of themselves. I mentioned just now in another thread, but I have found this forum to be a blessing. It's a support group right at my fingertips. Forget the haters

    Im scared

I have found this forum to be a blessing! It's nice to be able to talk to others who are going through or have gone through the same things you have.
  11. I am also on a 3 week diet and I thought I would struggle majorly, but I have not. I am also self-pay and I definitely don't like to waste money so that is also a little kick in the butt I need. I've not been hungry really but I think it has all been more psychological for me. I've not been a fan of the shakes but I have made myself get a couple down a day. But my doctor did send me a recipe for a veggie Soup that I am allowed to have a couple cups of a day and just that texture of those few veggies alone has been enough to trick my brain into thinking I have been "eating." The first day I did not have the veggies but I am also able to have egg drop soup and the consistency and great taste of it put me more at ease and helped me feel fuller. I am not sure how strict your diet is exactly.
  12. Day 3 of my pre-op diet and I haven't weighed yet, but my slacks for work were definitely feeling looser this morning. I was able to button the second button and the waist band didn't fold over. Hallelujah...progress!!! Makes liquids seem a little better lol.
  13. I am counting down the days!!!
  14. That's fantastic @@rln52
  15. Congratulations!!! I am scheduled for the 17th as well
  16. I went out to a little Chinese café for lunch to get my egg drop soup when I noticed that they had a veggie soup on the menu. I asked what was in it and it was everything I am allowed to have according to the veggie soup recipe I was sent as part of my pre-op diet. I'm a super satisfied lady right now. Day 2 is moving along smoothly.

    August Sleevers

Yay! Welcome to the August 17th Club
  18. I struggled with my protein powder as well yesterday. I bought Isopure unflavored so that it could be added into broths as well as shakes; however, when I was preparing soup last night for today's lunch it just clumped up in there and became inedible. I read that it has to be added before it gets heated up, so I will try again in hopes I can mix in some protein with my soup. Thinking about trying the Syntrax Nectar options to put in my water through the day.
  19. My aunt had surgery there and she and my uncle were both very pleased with the care she received there.

    Fiance not to happy

My husband is insecure as well and I always had to remind myself of that and try to take into account his feelings. But sometimes it was hard. I would try to remind him that he wants to have kids and we have tried for over a year with no luck. I tried to appeal to this side of him. The surgery may help with fertility, healthier pregnancy, etc. He would say "Promise that when the time comes we can try for kids and that is why you are doing this." I hate that he gives me like these little ultimatums, but I know he is scared. He broke down about a week ago and let me know that he was scared I would not come back from surgery and he didn't know what he would do without me and that is why he has been so against the whole process.

    Any August Sleevers?

Yay! Fingers crossed! This is me tooBut I'm still closer to 500 calories and I feel like I'm gonna pass out idk what to eat tho I hit about 800 calories yesterday. I don't know if your NUT allows it, but I am able to have egg drop soup on my pre-op liquid diet and it helped me get some calories in last night and it helped me feel satisfied.
