  1. We are getting so close @@ylluz , nerves are only natural. We can and we will make it
  2. I weighed this morning for the first time since starting the pre-op diet and am down 10 lbs. so far. 11 more days until I reach the other side!
  3. I am adding to my running list that I want to be able to take a picture without cocking my head or body at just the right angle to make myself seem thinner than I am.
  4. Woohoo!!! And only 10 days left of this miserable pre-op diet hahahaha.

    Surgery in 4.5 hours

Hope all went well and you have a smooth recovery!
  6. Yes!!! Thus causing what my best friend and I like to call the FGS (Fat Girl Syndrome) of chafing where the thighs have been rubbed raw....ouch!!!
  7. Definitely sports games/concerts/plays...the seats are so tiny and it has gotten rather embarrassing so I don't go nearly as much as I used to. I also would like to not always being avoiding the topic/changing the subject when it comes to amusement parks or Water parks. I am going to add that I want to be able to play co-ed softball again. As of a couple years ago I just could not play to the best of my ability and would be dying of pain the next day. Oh oh ohhhh, and I would love to step on an electronic scale and it not say the word "ERROR"
  8. I hadn't thought about a naked pic, but I do look at myself naked in the mirror every morning and that is one daily motivator right there lol. On a smaller scale, today marks 8 days pre-op diet with 12 to go. I have found that chewing bubble gum here and there helps to alleviate some of the psychological feelings of wanting to bite into something. It really has helped me.

    Did you name your sleeve?

I saw someone on Facebook had named it her little Sleeven Tyler. That cracked me up.
  11. That's awesome @@Margie122 ! My home and work life have been so incredibly hectic that I've not really accomplished the amount of exercise that I want to but other than that I am feeling a difference in the way my clothes are fitting and hunger has diminished significantly! I never thought I would take a few bites of veggies or anything and be done.
  12. Yes I agree that the hunger drops significantly! I am on a 3 week liquid pre-op diet, today marks the beginning of the second week. However even with my doctor calling it a liquid diet I am allowed vegetables. Even when I go to snack on veggies when I'm feeling especially hungry, I don't eat nearly as much as I might have otherwise. A few bites and I'm done now. I am trying to wean down to not needing the veggies at all. You can do it! It seems so hard at first but it does get easier. Keep your eye on the prize!
  13. So how is everyone doing going into these last couple of weeks?

    Tomorrow is the day

    Woohoo! Glad everything went well.
  15. I started my liquid pre-op diet last Monday. Last week went by pretty well, but this weekend was go go go. I am allowed veggies along with my liquids so I snacked a lot on carrots and broccoli and such this weekend because we were on the road from Friday until late last night. We ended up staying with family overnight on Saturday so I had a little scrambled eggs in the morning for Breakfast as I did not have my Protein. Justified it to myself as I am allowed to have egg drop Soup so I thought one scrambled egg would not be the end of me I sure hope not. Ugh....two more weeks to go until surgery.
  16. I am sorry for your loss, but congratulations on moving forward to focus on your health and well-being. Welcome to August 17th Club

Congrats!!! Good vibes your way for a smooth surgery and recovery!!!
  18. That's another good idea. I've been trying to drink mine on the way to work and they still lose their coolness. I have just been doing ready-to-drink shakes right now. I haven't switched just yet to mixing my protein powder in and making my own.
  19. They have allllllll kinds of different flavors I am going to have to get the sample pack too I think.
  20. @@ylluz I got it from here www.mybariatricpantry.com/
  21. Glad to hear you are doing so well!
  22. Yeah, it's a way to get the Protein in other than shakes. It works much in the same way that Crystal Light does. Just put the powder in your Water. Ordered some cherry yesterday and it's on its way.
  23. Sodas for me have been so hard to give up. I just want a coke lol. But I have substituted those moments by Water with my little grab-n-go Crystal Light. Hoping to soon substitute my Crystal Light powder with Syntrax nectar.
