  1. What does everyone say at social events, dinners etc when you aren't eating? I have told my Mum & a couple of close friends only.

Happy birthday and congrats on your op! You will be fine and look back on this day in 6 months time (when you're back eating solids) and laugh!
  3. I've found this thread really helpful, I have my date booked however I still have so many questions, like can I still champagne with my friends etc. sounds like I can but only after about 2 months.
  4. Hi NaomiAus, it's great to have a fellow Aussie in here! All the best with your appointments, I would love to hear how they go! I've got referrals for mine so have to have them by April 2016.
  5. Hi, I'm new here and am wondering if there are any fellow Australians on here? I had my first consult today and my Dr was really positive and said I'm an ideal sleeve candidate so all going well, I'll have my sleeve done next June (after the wait for my health cover).
  6. Hi, I had my first consult today so all going well I'll have my sleeve done next June (I have a 12 month wait for my health insurance). I have told my Mum & a couple of friends only, one friend is super supportive but I can tell my Mum & my other friend aren't for me having the procedure. I need some advice on what to tell people, particularly my co-workers as id love to not have to tell people and have a cover story for why I'm not eating etc. What are everyone else's thoughts. What have people told others?
