Ask your surgeon for a list of Psychiatrist that they recommend. My insurance wouldn't cover it so I paid $150 outta pocket but she's specialized in bariatric patients.

I'm fairly new as well. I'm also scheduled for surgery on Oct.1st. I'm always looking for someone who understands what I'm going thru.

Glad to hear that our guys do pretty well with us changing. He's been very supportive throughout my journey. He's taken me to most of my pre-op appointments. Intimacy has never really been a problem (except for when I was pregnant with our daughter ) but it went back to normal after I had her. I'm hoping me feeling better about myself will make us stronger.

Intimacy has never really been a problem (except for when I was pregnant with our daughter ) but it went back to normal after I had her. I finished my last appt last Thursday. Pulmonologist, cardiologist, Stress test, echo, nutritionist, upper gi, psychiatrist, and sleep study. It felt like it took forever but now that it's done Im anxious for the next phase and to start my new healthier life.
