Thanks so much for your answer. I am one day away from surgery and feeling a bit apprehensive. I appreciate your support. btw- I'm Italian as well and food and entertaining is central to my family! I just find it hard to imagine a different life. Thanks again.

Chele, You say that you can eat whatever you want? I wonder how you handle the rule that you have to eat protein first and then good carbs etc. How do you eat a piece of pizza or a pasta dish for example? It's all mixed together? How do you handle drinking wine? Eating a piece of cheesecake? I just assumed that would off limits..

Hey Girlonfire My surgery is 7/8/15. I'm on the East coast- weather is iffy so not really missing the fun. I did decide not to go to any parties though. Day 5 of the pre-surgery diet. Felt a bit hungry but hanging in.
