  1. Not sure if this worked. Left is around 324 pounds december 2014, middle maybe around 210 December 2015, Right is yesterday 1/6/2015 199.4. Stats HW 347, SW 264 CW 199.4 GW 160
  2. If you are by chance drinking chocolate Protein shakes then I would say perfectly normal. I would say at about a week out every time I drank a shake I would run for the bathroom so that sounds about right.

    Unflavored protein powder

I am 5 months out and I tried unflavored unjury. Ewwww I gagged on it. I heard about GENEPRO and ordered some. It was a life saver for me during pureed phase. To me it was tasteless and I couldn't smell it either. A little bit goes a long way. My nutritionist approved it also. She also said that Premier Protein shakes are the wrong type of protein and our bodies only absorb about half the protein you drink. I didn't know that at first and I was drinking them and felt completely exhausted all day. The Syntrax flavored Proteins are pretty good. They are pretty sweet thought but for unflavored I would suggest Genepro.
  4. I am 5months out and remember my stomach growling but I think it was air bubbles or something. I would have to be really hungry to feel slightly hungry. But recently I had about a 2 weeks period where I was extremely hungry all the time. But when I know that I just ate and it wasn't time to eat again I would drink a bunch of Water and it would normally go away.
  5. Ate beef stew and didn't chew good enough. Had my first blockage. Felt sick to my stomach but couldn't throw it up and very painful for about an hour. Then it passed. Lesson learned chew more and slower.

    Water intake

i am 5 months out and I can drink 64 or more ozs a day. I loose track because I love Ice cold Water so I will keep adding ice. I also cannot stand plain water anymore. I always have a bottle of crystal light in my purse at all times. Right after my surgery I had a bottle where I had to tip it for drink and I found I was taking gulps and it would hurt pretty bad. So I switched to my bottle with a straw and found I could drink alot more but smaller amounts at a time. So try changing the bottle you are using. I also have my water bottle with me at all times except when I am in bed. I know one thing that was difficult to get used to was the timing of eating and waiting to drink. Eventually you get used to it.
  7. I am 5months out and I remember stalling for a couple weeks around 3 weeks out. I think alot of people do at that point. Even now I will stall for a week or two. Sometimes if you up your calories a little I have noticed it will break it. Sometimes our bodies need that little extra calories to help you to loose. Its like it resets something and I start to loose again.
  8. I havn't been able to stomach Protein shakes since 2 weeks post op. I am now 4 months out. Yes you can get the protein in without shakes. Are you in the pureed stage? If so try getting GENEPRO unflavored protein. You can add it to anything to be able to get your protein in. Also I follow the rule of every snake or meal has to be atleast 10grams of protein. So if you are following the eat 6 times a day that is 60grams of protein.

    Pureed Stage

My go to foods were mashed potatoes with added Protein powder. Cottage cheese, I would take tuna, low fat mayo and throw it in the food processor and eat it will a couple ritz crackers. Greek yogurt was also a big portion of my diet. I have heard a lot of people say ricotta bake but I cannot eat eggs. Oh and Eggs are an excellent protein source.

    Dreaded Stall

i have been eating a variety of foods that have chicken, such as stir frys and what not. For Snacks I have been eating pork Rinds, Greek yogurt (the seasonal caramel Apple Pie is my favorite!) I will also snack on Nature's Valley with Protein bars. With my food selections I make sure they have at least 10 grams of protein in them. I eat about every 2-3 hours.

    Dreaded Stall

i am 9 weeks out and I have found that I lose more weight if I up my calories. I was hovering at 700 cals a day and would maybe loose half a pound a week. So me and my nutritionist agreed to up my cals to 800-1000 and I have steadily lost 2.5 pounds a week or so.
  12. I have a whole thing of unflavored unjury. I couldnt stomach it. The taste and smell was repulsive. I tried it during my liquid phase and pureed phase and it made me gag. I now use the GENEPRO and my nutritionist said its good. I cannot taste a difference or smell it as long as you mix it good. I havn't had any issues with it. It saved me during the pureed phase as I could no longer drink a Protein shake, they made me gag and still do. I had my surgery July 20th, 2015 and I am doing good on protein with just food now. But there are only so many protein rich foods you can puree and still get enough protein.

    Fitbit

I used to have the fitbit charge, now I have the fitbit charge hr and I love it. Only downside is you have to charge it more often. Then the regular charge and for some reason I have to reset it once in awhile because of syncing issues.

    Post op liquid phase

I have been using genepro a full serving is 30g of protein or something like that. Its flavorless and odorless. You have to get it on amazon though. It will come in handy when you start your pureed stage. It helps expand the variety of food you can eat.

How do I know I'm full?

i am 5 weeks post op and for me now I can feel that I am full. Like I can tell when my stomach is full. In the beginning it was a guessing game. I would normally get an air bubble feeling then try to burp but there is food there(disgusting I know) That meant I was overfull. So I just thought about the feeling I got before that happened. It is very difficult to know when you are full in the beginning. Just take small bites and eat slowly.

    Stall

It is different for everyone. I stalled for 2 weeks and even gained 2 pounds but I relost it. I am now a little over 5 weeks post op and have lost 20 pounds post op.

I was sleeved also on July 20th. I experienced a stall from week 2-4. So 2 weeks stall. I even gained 2 pounds. In the past couple days I have lost the weight gained and lost another 1.5 pounds. It was a little frustrating but I knew it could happen.
  19. I am a little over 4 weeks post-op. My go to things are Dannon Lite and fit greeks Cottage cheese Soups I will even eat the cream of potato mix with fairlife milk for added Protein and mix half tablespoon of GENEPRO Protein powder. Unsweetened applesauce with genepro mixed in for protein. Single serve tuna fish packets with low fat mayo, dill pickle cut off the skin, put it in the food processor and eat with a couple reduced fat ritz. Cheese is also good. I buy a block of Kraft Colby and cut into 1 ounce portions.

How much weight loss first 3wks

I was sleeved July 20th, I am officially today 4 weeks post-op. I lost 12 pounds the first 2 weeks then I hit the dreaded stall. Which I hear is very normal. I was in a stall for the past 2 weeks. I have finally broken that stall. I actually gained 2 pounds now that is gone and I am loosing again. I guess this is fairly common in the beginning so don't worry about it if it happens to you.

    July sleevers?

I am 14 days post op last time I checked I was down 12 pounds. For the first week I was having spasms after every drink so I would take the medication the doctor gave me and that helps. That stuck feeling for me tends to occur now when I take to big of a drink. It takes a minute for it to trickle down and the pressure to go away. Cdominguez, I thought about the bypass also but then I looked at the possible side effects and the possibility of malnutrition from now absorbing as much. I kinda weight the pros and cons of all surgery and choose to go with the sleeve. As of right now I have no complaints.

    Shoulder pain

Try the gas x or infAnt gas drops. Walking helps. Also a heating pad helped me alot. I was sleeved on july 20, 2015.
