  1. Jane, I meant healthiest choices only and not other. lean meats, vegies, light dairy
  2. Thanks... Maybe the pouch test is a great idea about now and then throwing out my bad foods and restocking as well. We'll see, I'll post after some positive moves I guess, I used to be so into what I was doing, I need to find that space again........
  3. Thanks all for responses, finding exercise hard, I have bad joints and hip. I guess I need to start fresh and buy only dietary foods with out relying on small bits of anything else added for a while maybe not the cleaners though. Was also considering asking a doc for diet pill ? I'll read you all a second time and respond again later on, Thanks.............
  4. I need help and support, I seem to be back to gaining and really have been for a year now. I had a hard time year and few months ago and have way strayed off the program, I made it down to 255, yes, from 420 highest, BUT, back over the dreaded 300. Now, I just need ask for support, I am challenged by eating large meals, not huge as 4 years and 5 or 6 years ago, but enough to gain small each month. cheese has been a downer, it was great when I included bits into a meal but now used to having it and snack in between and have 2 or 3 times that small piece each time, seems I am stuck with this, good that it's not ice cream. Also Carbs, darn feels great but blocks all weight losses, totally throws me off balance for losses of any kind. Any kind or hard words will help now, so, say what it is I need to hear, please !!!
  5. Depending on where you go in the future you'll probably find many times that you are much more educated about your needs and this subject vsg than some of the doctors, nurses and pharmacists you'll meet. Your maintenance for this is a life long affair, you're going to find that it's you that need check all your P's and Q's, teach them or tell them out right, making sure others are on focus when they work with you is a good thing to stay on top of. Go to a meeting in your area if you find they have them, learn from others directly what they do and need post surgery and the effects of all things. I gained a lot back also, but I still can't over eat a single dish and the less I consume it seems the stomach adjusts as well. So Vitamins, B12, Calcium or no, vit D's ? get into it and know what's what BUT the diet is what's big here, perfect your know how and keep doing it all, added exercise is a key further on and easier with out being as big. Oh, also bring flushable wipes to the hospital, you'll be messy afterward, some blood and poo can be so uncomfortable, LOL. I have several injuries which set me back as well, I will be working harder and must go back to adhering to rules I set long before. Some are, no take out, no pizza, no alcohol, daily walks too. scales are handy at first, I should be doing it all the same and keeping counts but I fudge it all away since when. Personal low is 255, after highest was 420, now above 300 again. Sorry, maybe not what you'd want to here, but I've seen others go all the way. And afterwards getting tucked and such a beautiful result, my never regret is comfort of still weighing less but not enough unfortunately. Take grain of salt, everything is not magic and not done 1'2'3, although at first it certainly is.

    Follow-Up Appointments?

Wow ! they bumped you right off their schedule to second appointment. Seems unfair to me, you should call them and see if they've another opening sooner at some time soon. Non the less, if you have questions for them call and ask them too, it's your right to have appropriate access. Don't get discouraged, buckled down to what your doing, find answers here and call them too if you feel stuck on things. Lots of luck

    Gained weight

Could be in a plateau for loss, it may help to think of prior surgery weight losses added to now and stalling loss for a bit. Plateau; http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/weight-loss/in-depth/weight-loss-plateau/art-20044615 http://paleoleap.com/weight-loss-plateau/ You must stick to the very low amounts you still use for food in order to maintane the smallness of your stomach, don't let a stall or plateau fool you in to being disinterested in what your already doing. Stick hard and close to your special dietary needs and schedule, always do what the doctors say. Your stomach is now shrunk to an unusaul smallness which will in months or year or more go back to fitting larger amounts, it is essential to use this smallness and lack of appetite now and prolong this period of diet newness best for as long as you can.
