OMG!!! I am completely in shock that I am in this phase. My insurance is in the has everything and is in process of approving my surgery. I have TRICARE by the way. I will post on here when I get my approval (fingers crossed). I am 27, BMI 40, CW 238. I am so excited to get to this phase of my journey.

Hello all. I'm Stephanie 27F, 5'3" HW 238, CW 238, BMI 40.8, personal GW 145. I went in for labs Monday. They still haven't populated, how long does this take...I was thinking 1-2 days? All other surgery (RNY) requirements are completed. What has your experience been at and after this point?

This is amazing. I am so happy for you. I too go to bed fairly early and struggle to wake up around 0530. I want so badly to have that energy. I am pre-op...moving along quite well in the process. All prerequisites are complete just waiting for an appointment date with my NP so we can finally submit to insurance. Best wishes.

I wanted to go to that support group meeting in Killeen today but I had a very bad unexpected illness with a family member. I spoke to her Monday and she said that they hired a NP but she won't start until October. So it's most likely true.

I'm 27. I have everything done...just waiting on the NP (the first one quit) appointment and approval after that. I'm excited but it's taking forever for a new NP to be hired????

I don't know how far behind they are. I too have done everything...just waiting on the NP. It sucks.

you could try Chupik Counseling in Austin. I live in Killeen and I used their office here.

There is one in Austin, Killeen, and Temple.

I've done everything except for my sleep eval (required by my insurance). Just waiting to meet with the new NP and surgeons. She should try Chupik Counseling.

So do I. I called today and they are in the process of hiring. So hopefully they will have someone soon.

Congrats on you approval! I agree that GERD is no joke. I am opting for RNY. Keep researching and I'm sure you'll make the right decision. ☺️
