At 2 weeks post-op, my non VSG world shattered. I am trying to pick up the pieces...
My word. I will place your son and your family in my prayers. Keep your faith and don't give up. Much love.

Hospital stay question
My surgery was Monday around 1100 and I was discharged Tuesday at 1845. I was asked by my physician what would make me comfortable--I was definitely ready to be in the comfort of my own home. I am also a RN, so I have no desire to be admitted in the hospital longer than necessary. Ultimately, your MD should do what's best for you.

On my way to the hospital
good luck!!! I'm scheduled for Wednesday I was released last night. I am doing well. I have pain on my left abdomen. My husband and son have been very attentive. It still feels surreal...no regrets thus far.

On my way to the hospital
My time has finally arrived! I am en route to the hospital to have RNY gastric bypass. I am surprisingly calm. I have my wonderful husband and son by my side. Once I get checked in I will post an update. Have a great morning.

Today's the day!
I slept for 6 hours and now I'm up just waiting...4 more hours to head to the hospital. I'm not quite nervous yet. Wishing you the best.

Has your Marriage Changed Since Surgery?
Almost cried reading this. Way to go. I only hope to be so humble and blessed after my surgery (11/30/15)

???? Sleep test on Friday the 20th ????
I didn't bring anything but toiletries and pajamas. They had fans, extra pillows, etc. I did not sleep very well there though.

Preop diet survey
2 week pre op diet is required by my surgeon. This consists of 3-4 protein shakes a day (with 1% milk or water) also included are very specific protein milkshake recipes (optional). Steamed and/or raw veggies at meals. Sugar free ice pops and jello are allowed as well. On day 12 start clear liquids only. I start Monday.
