  5. My surgery was Monday around 1100 and I was discharged Tuesday at 1845. I was asked by my physician what would make me comfortable--I was definitely ready to be in the comfort of my own home. I am also a RN, so I have no desire to be admitted in the hospital longer than necessary. Ultimately, your MD should do what's best for you.
  6. It's not worth your time. It's disrespectful to his wife and child and go you as well. Let it go.
  7. good luck!!! I'm scheduled for Wednesday I was released last night. I am doing well. I have pain on my left abdomen. My husband and son have been very attentive. It still feels surreal...no regrets thus far.
  8. My time has finally arrived! I am en route to the hospital to have RNY gastric bypass. I am surprisingly calm. I have my wonderful husband and son by my side. Once I get checked in I will post an update. Have a great morning.
  9. I slept for 6 hours and now I'm up just waiting...4 more hours to head to the hospital. I'm not quite nervous yet. Wishing you the best.
  10. Almost cried reading this. Way to go. I only hope to be so humble and blessed after my surgery (11/30/15)
  11. I didn't bring anything but toiletries and pajamas. They had fans, extra pillows, etc. I did not sleep very well there though.
  12. 2 week pre op diet is required by my surgeon. This consists of 3-4 protein shakes a day (with 1% milk or water) also included are very specific protein milkshake recipes (optional). Steamed and/or raw veggies at meals. Sugar free ice pops and jello are allowed as well. On day 12 start clear liquids only. I start Monday.
  13. My surgery date is 11.30 All of my pre-op requirements have been done....I was just waiting for them and they have pulled through. This date works best for my family and career (registered nurse). I'm glad you're doing well. I wish you the best.

  16. I'm scheduled for Nov 30th. My preop starts Nov 16th.
  17. November 30th is my surgery date!! I'm stoked!!!

  19. We have the same stats! Congrats on your approval! I just got mine too, and will be going in on December 9th! Do you have your date yet? No I don't have a date. I'm waiting on the official call from my provider...should I call them?
  20. Received an email time stamped at 9:36am with my approval!!!!!! I don't know whether to cry or scream!!!! I can't believe this is happening!!!!
