  1. @@heynowkc and @@HillaryA Thank you both for sharing your stories! You are both doing awesome and sound so happy! I love that! I've lost 54lbs so far and already see so much inprovment.... my feet no longer hurt, I'm feeling more energetic.
  2. This is actually the reason I asked this! I am going to a music festival next week and saw those and wanted to take them but wasn't sure about the nuts! They look yummy!

    When can I run?

My 10 lbs restriction is for 4 weeks post surgery... so no lifting for me yet. They didn't say anything about vigorous exercise for me.... my mom is big into big riding and he told her I could ride the day after surgery if I wanted. I am quite sure he has no idea just how crazy my mom is about her bike riding or I think he might have answered differently lol
  4. Getting on a plane without the constant dread of having to ask for an extender or even worse, be asked to purchase another seat. I've never been asked to purchase a second seat but after the whole fiasco with Kevin Smith being asked to purchase a second ticket- I am so scared it's going to happen!

    Eggs

I made scrambled eggs at 2 weeks post off when I was in the puree stage... no problems!

    I used to fit these.

    Wow! That is awesome!!!
  7. I started my two week liquid diet on May 27th and was sleeved June 10th. It has been six weeks since beginning the liquid diet and I am 54lbs down. I did a side by side comparison today and I am already loving the results!
  8. I was also told I couldn't have them for a while due to the seeds. I can't remember how long but I think 3 or 6 months.
  9. I drank only 4 protein shakes and drank tons of water during mine. My shakes were 160 calories a peice. So I would have been around 600 calories.

    Ugh

Your true friends will want the best for you. They will support what brings you happiness and they will celebrate in your successes. A friend who doesn't do that is merely a jealous aquaintance.
  11. The itching is such a pain! Took everything I had not to go scratching! I had surgical glue on my incisions and I was so glad when it finally came off!
  12. Ugh. So sorry to hear that! I can only imagine how frustrating that would be! Wishing you a speedy recovery on the ankle so you can get back on track for your sleeve! !
  13. Thanks! I am going to a music festival in a couple weeks and trying to think of things I can take to keep my Protein intake up but will probably try to rely on my Protein shakes since I can take them in with me. Making good choices is hard enough without being in event grounds surrounded by food trucks lol At least someone always serves chicken on a stick!

    New sleever here from Arkansas

Hello Brandon and welcome to the forum! I was just sleeved a little over three weeks ago... I also went through the "huge mistake" phase and shed plenty tears of frustration! Glad you are feeling better though and it will keep getting easier from there! Best of luck to you on your journey!
  16. You look great! So happy for you and the great success you are having!!!
  17. My pain subsided significantly about every 2 days. My pain was nearly gone in a week or just over a week I'd say. I am at about 3.5 weeks and finally starting to feel "normal". Hang in there, it gets better with each passing day. I cried several times in the beginning out of frustration and went through the "I made a huge mistake" phase. But now, I am feeling good and totally thankful I've done this!

    Sleep apnea

sleep apnea is usually considered a reason for surgery from the insurance stand point... especially as it is a co-morbidity if your BMI alone does not make you eligible for the surgery per your insurance. But I see you are scheduled and ready to go so all is well Good luck to you on your surgery!

    Too many calories?

I am just getting started on this journey and am only 3 wks post op but my dietician has a year schedule for me. It is suggesting 1,000 calories at the 1 year mark. Though, that is probably subject to change.
  20. I was tired during the pre-op diet and straight up exhausted for the first couple weeks after surgery... I got out of the shower and just felt completely spent from taking a showing. Hopped right into bed lol But I am just over three weeks out and back to work and feeling pretty decent. I am also 51lbs down so my feet have stopped hurting and I just feel better. I am not feeling "full of energy" but am feeling so much better.

    Bounce Back After Surgery

So sorry you are having such nausea! I also don't really have much advice but just wanted to offer up some support. I really think once you recover from the gall bladder that hopefully things will get a bit easier for you! I really hope things start to improve for you soon!

    Pain Meds After Sleeve Surgery

I had no pain meds in the hospital and didn't take them at home either. I had some morphine right after they brought me out of surgery but then I spent 36 hours in the hospital with zero pain meds. If you are comfortable without them, I don't see why you couldn't quit taking them. I was struggling to sleep at night because I am belly sleeper so I took a couple for the first couple nights just to be able to sleep... I prescribed vicodin and it knocks me out!
  25. I struggled with this as well. I am three weeks post op and probably just beginning to get the right amount of liquid! I think I spent a lot of time under estimating how many ounces fit in my sleeve. It gets easier though!
