  1. Just curious how many calories people are taking in at 6 months post op.
  2. Are you making sure to not drink 30 min before/after eating? I notice when I follow that rule I feel full longer
  3. Great results! What has your diet and exercise plan looked like? I was sleeved a few weeks after you and only down about 1/2 as much. Liking for some inspiration!
  4. I'm so frustrated. I was sleeved 7/21. I lost 14 lbs in preop then 26 post surgery. So, I was 285 SW...7/21. I was 249 on 8/31. So, I was ok with that even though it was a little slow. Since that, I lost 5 lbs, put 2 back on and stayed at 247 for a week now. That's only 3 lbs in almost a month! ! And why would I gain? ! I track in my fitness pal daily. I have 70-85 grams protein/800 calories/under 50 carbs / all my vitamins/ 64+oz Water and work out 3x a week. I don't know what else I could be doing. I really feel like I'm done losing and this is as far as I'll get. I am feeling very depressed about it. Any helpful tips, info, anything?
  5. I'm in! CW 248 GW 235
  6. I seem to be stuck at about 400 calories a day no matter how hard I try. (I get 60-80 grams of protein though) I can't seem to eat more than about 4 bites. My dr wants me to 800 before I can work out and I'm very anxious to work out. Any tips on getting calories up?
  7. I'm one month out and I feel nauseous 80% of the time. Nothing sounds good and I really don't want to eat, ever. I force myself to eat but it's typically a Protein bar, and even then I can barely finish 1/2. I still drink most of my protein, and am getting usually 70 grams a day, however, I only get about 300 ish calories sometimes up to 450. It's not the food that makes me feel sick, it's just all the time. I actually hate having to eat bcs i never feel hungry and always feel sick. . It's quite miserable. Anyone experience this? Does it go away?
  8. 7/21 that's awesome! How much have you lost? For me pre liquid diet 285 SW 271 CW 263 I feel like I've been a little bit of a,slow loser but overall still happy worth my decision
  9. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out. Dr Juarez did mine too. Great surgeon!
  10. For those that I have seen have lost like 60 ,70 even more in a year, did you lose quick since day one? Or did it just kick in one day? I am one week post tomorrow which I know is still really really, but I'm only down 1lb. I've seen several others who are already down 10+ by now. Just wondering if this is an indication I'll be a slow loser.
  11. I'm still early preop but I've been pinning recipes on pinterest life crazy for future use. I know I won't be doing 3 Protein shakes forever. I am curious what a meal plan with 80 g looks like. Seems like you'd have to always have at least one Protein shake per day to come close since our quantity of food is so little.
  12. Ty! Today has been a little better. So far about 14 oz protein shake and 16 oz of water. Trying to get a little more protein shake in today. I'm on full liquids for 3 weeks.
  13. The gas pain makes it painful. And yes my stomach feels too full
  14. I'm 2 days post op and I am really struggling to get in enough liquids. I drank 24 oz water yesterday and 11 oz of protein shake today. That shake took me 5 hours to drink! This coming from someone who used to put down 100 oz water down before surgery like it was nothing. Really didn't think it would be this hard.
  15. I see a lot of posts about people having a big appetite, or not feeling restricted after surgery. Is this common or not the norm? I'm 2 days post on and have 0 interest in food. But I'm a little worried if I all of a sudden have a big appetite again.
  16. My Facebook page ad me as a friend and I can then ad you as a group member. https://m.facebook.com/S.E.T.B.ME?ref=bookmarks Can you add me now, Haley?Me too please!
  17. 3rd day of my liquid diet. Results so far... chicken broth is blissful, I'm very tired and fairly hungry most of the day and going to a pizza place with my kids and watching them eat cheesy pizza is pure torture. Focus on the big picture right? !
  18. Just got done with my preoperative testing! Waiting for my 201 class to start then getting the shakes that I'll be drinking for the next 2 weeks. The official countdown has begun!
  19. Me too!! Exactly!
  20. I know losing hair is a part of the process and it's usually temporary but if there is a way to do so minimally I'd like to hear it. Please share your tips! Thank you!
  21. My mom has said, "if I ever get it done NO ONE would know". But I actually have told my coworkers, friends and family. I have personally found a lot of cheer leaders who are very supportive. Sure the are a few negative ppl and I'm SURE there are conversations about me taking the "easy way out" when I'm not around but overall I've had a good experience sharing my journey. I KNOW I have worked hard and I KNOW I will continue to work hard after my surgery. I have confidence that after my surgery when I'm in the best shape of my life and able to exercise regularly, those results will speak for themselves. Imo don't be ashamed for taking control of your health.
  22. As my surgery date approaches, I fantasize a lot about the aftermath. Of course the smaller clothes and all that is something I think about, BUT I find I mostly fantasize about working out! Anyone else with me on that? ? I have always enjoyed working out, that sweat and burn afterward but my knees and ankles and back usually put a halt to the intensity I like to have. I loved yoga but holding 250+ lbs steady kinda takes away from that. Anyway, I dream about being able to run a 5k, maybe even a half marathon some day. Putting on something other than a baggy tshirt and sweat pants and hitting it hard at the gym for an hour. I can't wait!
