My doctor sent over the referral as i met all the qualifications but he still wanted to do blood work. It came back showing extremely high cholesterol. i have been trying to think of it as a positive, like "at least i found it before something bad happens" and "well, at least it wont hurt my case when i see the surgeon". Just feeling down about my life choices that got me to this point.

Ahh okay, well I was already on cholesterol meds and I am 6 weeks out. I was cut to half dose on Wednesday last week so know that with a better diet and weight loss you will most likely only be on it for a little while. I was taken off blood sugar meds day after surgery and my BP meds were also cut in half last week. Good luck!!!

be thankful up found out and are treating it. you will probably be off the meds once the weight comes down and diet is more controlled.
