Just had my surgery on November 2nd and I hit 50lbs today!!

My 6 month progress

I went clothing shopping today and actually ENJOYED it!!
It hard to know what size to grab because I still see myself as bigger so I take a whole range. When the size small sweater actually fit me I clapped and did a happy dance!! I could have cried. Spent too much money on clothes today but I so needed them and it was such a treat to spoil myself!!
I can remember 6 months ago when I hated clothes shopping and the clothes I tried on were always too small instead of too big. I'm so grateful for my sleeve and proud of myself for working hard on this journey!!!
And...you should have seen my boyfriends face when I showed him my cute new skinny jeans and tight T-shirt. Haha! I told him "they make me feel so skinny". He replied "that's because you are so skinny...and sexy".
What a difference 4 months can make!!

Not being recognized is pretty awesome. I love the look on people faces. It doesn't happen as much anymore but every once in awhile I run into someone I haven't seen for a year. and they crap their pants, stutter and totally freak out.

You start to have a little "thing" with your own shadow. Secret glances. Lingering stares. Looking for opportunities to be alone, just the two of you.
Yeah, I've got it bad.

You look in the mirror at gym class and don't realize the person you see is you!

This weekend we decorated our Christmas tree. For the first time ever I was able to climb up on the stool without any help or going off balance to reach up high on the tree. And I helped decorate outside, climbing a 22 foot ladder!! I am so proud of myself!

When you spend weeks wooing a woman and she just up and pulls a disappearing act. Then you replace her in less than 48 hours because you can. Seriously, who invests weeks and then just vanishes? Her loss according to the pinch hitter lol.

The above picture did it for me. I'm the one on the right. I felt like s linebacker yet everyone told me how nice I looked at my brothers wedding. I was so angry at myself for getting to be that large. I've loss and gained weight all my adult life and just made excuses for my relapses. Enough is enough. My dad died at 46 for being a disobedient diabetic and I REFUSE to be so selfish that I give up on myself. I haven't had the surgery yet but my journey has already begun. My mind is made up and I have an appt to meet the surgeon on Friday.

i decided to have my wls after i had a spinal fusion and was outta work waiting for my hand to get better i was always fat and just had enough was border line diebetic and had trouble doing things with one hand so i had the sleeve started at 380# ON 9/28 now im 321#

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I am just starting the process. I'm 35 and I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life, the last time I was a healthy weight was probably when j graduate high school. Last night I went with my best friend to the seminar for our hospital that we will use and they already made our initial appointment for November 13th.
I'm am currently around 305pounds.
I have been "dieting" for 2 years.. I got down to 274 from my highest of 315 on and off on an off.. Up and down up and down.. I honestly just don't know what to do anymore. Without getting the sleeve done, I honestly don't ever think I will lose the weight I should to take back control of my life. I'm scared to death of surgery and hope I don't die getting it done. That's about all for now.. Lol
Anyone please feel free to comment! I'd love to talk to anyone who's been sleeved or thinking about it ????

I put a calender on my fridge to write down my workouts. When I don't exercise, that day stays bare and I hate staring at those empty days for the entire month so I am hyper motivated to fill in as much as possible each and every day!

One day down. The Only thing I had besides my shakes was about 2 oz turkey breast. Day 2 here I come. I already feel better.

Things I look forward to not having to deal with :
Being uncomfortable 24/7 because I'm fidgeting with my shirts riding up and my pants sliding down.
Chub rub
My feet hurting from working at a job where I'm on them most of the day
Missing out on plans with friends because I am not sure if I can fit wherever we're going
My anxiety that has always been so bad when I've been at my heaviest.
2.5 weeks until my life changes for the best!!

I know for me a big (no pun intended) reason that I decided to have this surgery is so that I don't have to worry about the things that I was thinking about all the time. The every day things that I had to think and worry about:
- Is my belly sticking out under my shirt?
- What rides will I fit on at an amusement park?
- Is everyone else comparing that I am the largest person in this room too?
- How am I going to get down to put my shoes on and get back up?
- Am I going to fit in the booth at the restaurant?
These were just a few for me. What are some of your triumphant moments that you no longer have to think about?

When you pass the windows shopping and you don't recognize your new small frame.

I'm down 75lbs since mid July. Very happy, despite being stalled for the last 3 weeks or so.

Down 60 here. Walking 2 miles every morning! This time last year I couldn't walk to mailbox n back without pain n out of breathe!!!!!! Happy happy here!!!
